Thanks for the response. I talked to Voodoo Lab and they said it was alright using the submini plug on it. I’ve used it with great results thanks again.
JACSTRATMemberYou are right! That is an early one. I had a Muff Fuzz with the Plug on the opposite side and the input on the right, just like yours. I have an older LPB-1 Power Booster without the mono male phone plug. Amp on right and input on left. Mine is all beat up but still works excellent. Nice relic you have there, congrats.
JACSTRATMemberI just got my B9 Organ Machine last Wednesday. In case you are wondering, yes, it is all that and a bag of chips. I have only got so crazy with it so far. Today I hooked it up to an old Japanese Casio Tonebank SA-38 keyboard. I was getting some over the top Hammond like tones. I did not have it on for long, I just wanted to see if I could hook up a keyboard to it. The buffered in and out on the B9 will allow the signal to go through. Even with headphones on it works. With the guitar you can even get a little string bend in. Arpeggiating chords sounds much like on a keyboard with this thing. Notes sustain forever on it. I have two songs in mind I want to use this with. One is original and, the other is a cover with my own arrangement. Thanks for coming up with this pedal EHX folks! If you can come up with one that sounds like a Fender Rhodes with maybe a baby grand tone thrown in for good measure, it will be pretty swell!
JACSTRATMemberEHX Staff, Do you mean when I bend a string it will react the same (pitch shift) except for the organ tone? That would be mind blowing awesome! I’ve already got plans for this in my song writing! That bending ability would be the cherry on top of the whip cream!
JACSTRATMemberWhere it really shines is through a tube amp. This pedal works well through every amp I’ve played it through so far. I like the power supply as well. It does not add noise with my better gear so far.
JACSTRATMemberI have more EHX pedals than any other brand of effects! Congrats Mike! I can’t wait to get my grubby mitts on one of your delightful B9s!!! EHX is the goods!!!
JACSTRATMemberI plan on getting one of these! This will be an extra interesting song writing tool for this guitar guy. I wonder when they will come up with a piano one! Imagine a Fender Rhodes tone out of your electric guitar! Mike Matthews are you reading this sir?
JACSTRATMemberI’m happy with mine. I was using it earlier today. They can’t keep them in stock in the stores. For the price, this is another excellent EH pedal. I’m a big fan of overdrives. So far I’ve tried this out on the following amps I have: Marshall JTM1H, DSL15C, Fender NOS Blues Junior, silverface Vibro Champ, Blackstar HT-1. It has sounded good through all these amps so far. I tried it with the power supply and battery both.
JACSTRATMemberI just ordered one. This will be my fifth EH pedal I have now. This thing is going to rock!
JACSTRATMemberThanks to EHX Staff! I’ve heard two demos so far and, I’m very impressed! I have an Ibanez TS-808 and, I feel the ERD has a little more and, better sounding bass than the TS-808. I plan on getting one pretty soon! I’m pretty stoked about this pedal. Electro-Harmonix to me is the goods! It was the first brand of effects I ever got when I was a young man back in the 70s. All you nice people there, do keep up the good work always!
JACSTRATMemberJACSTRATMemberFrom the photos it looks like a pretty nice electric. Even if it is older it has a modern sleek design to it that works for me. How does it play and, what is the tone like? I hope it plays and sounds as cool as it looks.
JACSTRATMemberI have 11 of them. They are mostly lower watt ones. They are mostly tube but, I do have two solid state ones. I have Fender, Marshall, Vox, Sunn and one Blackstar. I love amps and guitars.
JACSTRATMemberQuote:And now there is a new VOX called Lil’ Night Train, that has a line level output. That means you can use it as a preamp into your power amp! And I’m guessing it will be pretty cheap (compared to other amps in themarket). It’s only 2W and uses a 12AX7 as a power tube (Yeah… I Know!!!!!)
Otherwise, if you still want to go with the English Muffin, you could also try a direct box between your English Muffin and the Power Amp (Which may not even be necessary)
I got a Lil’ Night Train and Cab, that I will pick up on 3-23-12. It is the greatest 2 watts I’ve ever heard! I wonder what it will sound like with pedals in front of it. It actually has two 12ax7s as drivers and the power tube is an 12au7. Pretty crazy, huh? If you play through one it will blow your mind! Through the Vox 16 ohm cab it is 2 watts. You can also play it through an 8 ohm driver and it would then only be 1 1/2 watts!
JACSTRATMemberI had one just like the one in the picture. I purchased it for about $30. I got it back in 1978 around there, like a fool I traded it. I plan on getting the double muff and hope for the best. The one in the picture had the Steely Dan “Reeling in the years.” solo sound down to the tee. I wish I still had it!
