As far as I can tell, you only need the instrument for the vocoder mode, for the harmony modes it’s just a mike and your voice trough it.
I’m about to get a Voice Box, things are getting a bit out of control lately…
Anyway I’ve noticed serious out-of-tune issues in the last voice tracks I recorded, so I hope this forces me to practice and improve them a bit (or a lot I hope)…hundirlaflotaMemberHi again,
I’ve just uploaded a demo of just the pedal, straight to the soundcard and encoded 192 kpbs, focusing on self-oscillation and general “weird” aspects of the pedal. Sorry for the not-properly-tuned guitar

just got my Memory Toy.
Good impressions so far: nice self-oscillation (the kind of spacey-noisy one wich I love, though it can be subtle also), beautiful modulation (it depends on the internal adjustment but I haven’t felt the need to mess with it), great overall sound.
No volume drop wich I notice, maybe the opposite, I’m not sure.
Regarding this there’s something you need to be aware of: the “blend” control, past half position, reduces the “dry” volume in favor of the pure “wet” signal (as well as the Hazarai etc.), wich is a natural function of these pedals.
Great job EHX!hundirlaflotaMemberQuote:A new more affordable looper/sampler, single or dual track, something that would be a direct competition to the lil red box.
This might of already been suggested I Didn’t checked much.I’ve saw the new looper thing an admin made a post about but then again it’s twice the price of the red box.
Maybe just the Hazarai Looper function in a box? Sounds nice. Being at it, I’d change the “hold it right there!” record/play system for the “push twice” more comfy one. It’s my only complaint about the Hazarai, but, anyway, I’m getting used to it
September 30, 2009 at 12:13 pm in reply to: Memory toy wont self-oscillate / mod depth question #101919hundirlaflotaMemberHi,
self-oscillation in analog delays can depend on the power supply.
I heard it’s better if the pedal has its own power supply than if it’s daisy-chained.
About the trimpot… I couldn’t say, I’m the kind of person that opens up pedals and messes with them, but hey, not everybody likes to do that and of course, it’s more risky than only plug the pedal and play…
Anyway, I’ve ordered a Toy myself and I plan on touching the mod depth trimpot if I figure out wich it is, so I’ll let you know if something bad happens
Best Regards

Because I love EHX tube pedals but god they’re big!hundirlaflotaMemberQuote:here’s my first try…http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8043097
2 muff’s in series this time.
and taking 2 tracks of dry and Fx out of DMM…mate with the Hoax of course…!
warning, it can be loud at some part…!
Great!
hundirlaflotaMemberHi,
I assume you are talking about the LPB-2ube. I tried this in a Valvestate amp skipping the preamp by using the FX loop return, and yes it delivered as much volume as expected, but it didn’t sound as nice as expected.
Anyway the LPB-2ube remains being a great tool for me to use in combination with amp simulators that I need to use while recording, or as a hell of a good overdrive pedal right to the amp with the rest of the effects.
Hope this helps,

Good feedbacking/self oscillating? Inside trimpot/s?
I just ordered myself a Toy this morning, I’m eager to plug it!September 14, 2009 at 6:01 am in reply to: Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai tips, tricks, and clips #101436hundirlaflotaMemberQuote:ok… question on the Haz. Currently I have a Boss RE20 but I have decided its only good for the echos. Can the Haz ‘approximate’ a reverb+tape type echo sound… or is this totally not possible? Thinking the Haz + Malekko 616 would be a sweet match…Hi,
I have a setting in the Hazarai that’s very close to Space Echo (at least to my uneducated ears),
it’s the modulation mode with the filter pushed half to the right, modulation at half or a bit to the right, repeats 100 to 300 ms depending on the beat/tempo…
Cheers!hundirlaflotaMemberQuote:You pump the LPB into the Muff or after it?Muff into LPB-2ube –> other effects.
Cheers!hundirlaflotaMemberI’d really enjoy a SMMH with midi tempo, yeah!
hundirlaflotaMemberI use something similar: Russian Black Big Muff + LPB-2ube. Very beatiful combination. Muffs improve a lot in tone and sustain combined with tube pedals :rawk: .
I tried an Hyperion Devi Ever once, too much fuzz for me (and that in my case has to be A LOT of fuzz)…September 2, 2009 at 9:33 am in reply to: New Electro Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb Pedal Video #101105hundirlaflotaMemberI’d like to hear the reverse reverb in a more shoegazer environment
