Thanks. I just did that and will wait for a response. I have now used the Pitchfork for several hours attached to a power supply and never had any issues. So, clearly, this is something to do with the battery power circuit.

I did two tests using an external 9v power supply. The first was turning on the Pitchfork with it attached to an input and output but with no real signal coming in. I left the battery installed. There were no blinking lights indicating an error even after about 3 hours.

Today, I used the Pitchfork with the 9v power supply (battery installed) at band practice for over 90 minutes with no errors or cut outs. Normally, it cuts out within that time frame if just using battery power.

My next test will be removing the battery. I would hate to have a power circuit with leakage onto the battery side causing the equivalent of a charging cycle (or long term a battery leak).

So, the indications are right now that the battery circuit has an issue where it either overheats or is sensing a low power situation where one doesn’t really exist.

Yes, new battery for tonight’s practice and it starting cutting out after an hour. Starting to think this is an overheating issue? Hard to think how a 9v battery could do that but I don’t know what’s in the circuit drawing power.

I’ll be testing with a 9v power supply on Friday.
