I just took a new Metal Muff top boost out of the factory box. I plugged my guitar into it & the light came on. There was already a battery installed and the red light was very bright. I stepped on the switch to disengage the pedal, turned my guitar volume down and turned my amp from standby to on. Turned my guitar volume up and could hear it fine with the Muff in bypass. When I engaged the Muff, both red lights came on and the volume went down so low I can barely hear it. Bypass=works fine, Engaged with or without Boost=crap. I switched batteries, tried a 1 spot and another 9v 200ma and a 9v 210ma adaptor. I’ve been reading forums all over the internet about different problems with this pedal.
I should have Googled “metal muff problem” before ordering 1. I wanted to play tonight and instead, wasted 4 hours researching a problem with a Brand New Metal Muff Top Boost.
Now I’ll waste some shipping tomorrow sending it in for repairs/replacement.
I couldn’t recommend this box to anyone. Don’t they have quality control dept that tests this new equip before shipping?? I’m pissed
