Kitrae, looking forward to your synopsis once you do!
grimwolfmcquadeMemberHA! yeah, that’s lookin’ like the outcome! i just didn’t wanna buy two pedals if they were gonna release something shortly.
grimwolfmcquadeMemberJust to let the originator of this thread know, this just happened to my Metal Muff as well… as well as my Nano Stone… to the person ‘with the answers’, is there something that I might have done wrong, I’m pretty careful with my gear…
grimwolfmcquadeMemberyup. the MM works without any noise, if not in the daisy chain… might be because of the amount of gain i have it set to, cause my Tone Wicker Muff causes the same hum, but my Tubescreamer does not.
and to the other question- LOVE the Bass Muff on guitar! All modes are great and very useable and it DEFINITELY sounds like the Green Muff (in case there was still some debate)… only difference being, MAYBE not as much gain.
I keep it on Bass Boost, tone around 4-5 o’clock, gain at 2. VERY DOOMY!
*and yes, that is the Behringer Echo Machine- not bad for $35…
grimwolfmcquadeMemberThoreau – ‘simplify, simplify’… have the metal muff w/ boost, but can’t figure out how to attach it without having some annoying hum… no hum there right now- only when i bring in the MM… any help?
grimwolfmcquadeMemberthanks folks- that’s all extremely helpful! i’ll stick with the bypass box idea!
grimwolfmcquadeMemberlike kitrae (whose website is ASTOUNDING) said (and I apologize for saying)- it’s not exact -there are more pronounced bass frequencies and slightly less gain, but it is the closest yer gonna git… and it’s in the sweet xo enclosure!
grimwolfmcquadeMemberdude… just get a bass muff IT’S THE EXACT SAME THING!
grimwolfmcquadeMemberare there horror stories i should be aware of with one-spots?
grimwolfmcquadeMemberI concur. I recently aquired a Black (green) Russian -1999. I put the Bass Muff side by side with it and I truly couldn’t tell much difference, other than the obvious extra low end on the Bass Muff and like the other reply- it won’t get as trebley, since it’s tailored to Bass frequencies. Perhaps this proves the point of discontinuing the Russian Muff- The Bass Muff may very well be it’s ‘reissue’/replacement!
If I’m off base, please feel free to correct me.
grimwolfmcquadeMemberThank you for your answers… good to know, but now I feel ridiculously stupid not taking into account those variables…
