Decoration. Copied from my guitar hero John Petrucci.
GorillaSalsaMemberEverything on the black pedalboard is in the effects loop of my Hot Rod Deville 4×10. Everything else goes in front of the amp. It’s not nearly as complete as I’d like it to be. I’m still hoping to get some pitch shifters, a dedicated looper, a vibe, a couple more delays, a ring mod, and I’d like to replace some of the simpler pedals with more versatile versions (Small Clone replaced with a Stereo Polychorus, for instance.) I’d also like to get some True Bypass Strips to hook all this stuff up to and make it easier to manage. It suits my needs well enough now, though, that I’m never caught off guard when writing (i.e. writing a riff that I think would sound great through a vibe pedal, and not having one.)
Also, this picture illustrates my Electro-Harmonix love affair very well.

You know, for rehousing and stuff.
GorillaSalsaMemberCouldn’t you just plug the normal output into your preamp and record from your DAW that way?
I haven’t seen the inside of the 2880, but my guess would be that the thing is packed.
GorillaSalsaMemberWhat about something like the Barber Dirty Bomb? Can it get sounds like that at all?
GorillaSalsaMemberHow would you say it compares to, say, the Metal Muff?

I have more-or-less an all EHX board, and they would all be classic versions if EHX did this.
GorillaSalsaMemberI have one in the effects loop of my Hot Rod Deville. When used with distortion, it sounds a bit like the intro to “Of Sins And Shadows” by Symphony X.
GorillaSalsaMemberGod, I would love a Crying Tone Reissue.
GorillaSalsaMemberQuote:Quote:Is that pedal called the Dr. boobers/ha! actually i think it is dr. booger. the two “o”s are boogers coming out of a nose. nice! what does it do?
Actually, that pedal is a distortion pedal originally called the “Dr. Boogie”. I gave it the paint job and naming scheme. Here’s a demo: (nerdy voice ahoy!)
GorillaSalsaMemberI need to clean my carpet, build a pedalboard and get a wiring kit from Lava Cable, but not until I feel like I’m done getting effects. I still want a Q-tron Plus, Micro POG, Micro Synth, Digitech Whammy, Frequency Analyzer, Boss GE-7 and some others…any suggestions?
