Thanks for the help!
I’ve used a XVive Mini Power Suppley (with a polarity converter). After I switched to the original EHX power supplies the problem is fixed. Seems like the XVive Power supply is not suitable for this kind of pedals.
Do you know if the Strymon power supply Zuma is suitable for the pedals? Or are you planning to release an EHX multi power supply?
goredonMemberHi,
I tried it on my 22500. Following settings I’ve done to achieve a delay like effect:1. go to the Loop setting and make sure you have selected “LUnP”
2. go to the Overdub setting and select a value between 50-60 % (overdub decay)
3. start a loop (press Loop A switch) and stop it at the desired delay time (press again Loop A switch)- now you have an empty loop
4. start recording and play over the loop (press Loop A switch again to start overdubbing until you want to freeze the delay). Now because of the selected Overdub decay of 50-60% each overdub cycle is getting quitter and quitter as long as you are in recording mode.Hope this helps
goredonMemberQuote:Good Morning. It may not be a great discovery for anyone but I would like to tell you about my experience of the last days. After incessant freezing and crash, I decided to reset the pedal to its factory settings (pedal disconnected, hold down both the “wave invert” and “tap split” buttons while connecting the power cable, a few seconds later when the lights Ascending and descending will have returned to its factory state). After this it has remained on for hours without re-freezing. I left it on while I work and every now and then change settings and buttons and so far there are no bugs. I will continue to test and tell my experiences. My English is very bad and I am helping through google translate, so I apologize for errors in my speech.Hi, do you have to reset the pedal only once or every time you are starting it to get rid of the malfunction? I cannot test it because I sent mine back to the seller (money back). If resetting helps I probably would buy this pedal again.
goredonMemberOkay, I sent the faulty device back to the shop where I ordered it from and the replacment arrived (a new one) today. It has the same malfunction. Looks like all new Super Pulsars will have this malfunction.
@EHX Staff
Was it possible to reproduce this malfunction? Maybe I can film and upload it. With the posted settings it always happens after a cold start.goredonMemberI’m located in germany.
goredonMemberwith the 9v power supplies between 10-15 minutes it freezes. with the EHX 9,6v power supply I think it was something between 15-25 minutes. Could be that this was only a coincidence. I haven’t tried it several times.
After it has freezed, only repowering helps. And after repowering I didn’t experienced aother malfunction (warmed up?). But I’m using it only a few days now (brandnew) – no long-time experiencesEdit: in my settings the expression pedal jack is also not in use and it was in bypass mode
goredonMemberHi,
I did some tests with stronger power supplies. Same malfunction occurs.I’ve used two different power supplies:
9V; 300mA (Fame multi power supply)
and 9V; 660mA (Strymon Power Supply)Here are my seetings on the Super Pulsar on which the malfunction occures (no other settings tested):
using Mono-In/Mono-Out (nothing connected to “Tap/Clk In” jack);Volume = 1 (clock position)
RT- Phase = 12
Wave = 9 (saw wave)
Shape = max (5:30)
Depth = max
Rate = 10:30
Env Depth = 12
Env Rate = 12Wave invert = off
Tap Divide = off
Exp Mode = off (nothing selected)
xRate = once pressedPhoto with settings (hope the link works – right click and open it in a new tab should work)

Model:YXDC-41-1004
Input: 230V; 50Hz; 30mA
Ouput: 9,6V; 200mAMaybe the power supply is to weak?
goredonMemberHi,
I’ve experienced the same problem. It also happens in bypass mode. Any news about this issue?Regards,
KlausgoredonMemberHi,
sometimes this happens with my device too (firmware 2.. This happens when I have recorded Loop A, started recording Loop B (not an overdub) and try to stop and delete Loop B (Loop B switch is double clicked while Loop B is in record mode) before Loop A is in the next cycle. I figured out that this mostly happens, when I double click switch Loop B directly after Loop B starts recording in less than 2 seconds. After I restarted the looper all settings are gone. -
