I happen to play alone (‘cos all we’ve got in Russia is screamo/emo/uber-death-shred) bands…. And it’s kind of a mix between psychedelic rock, ZZ-Top-style hard rock, avantgarde, hair metal and post-rock.
Sounds weird but cool
And it gives an excuse when I need to buy a pedal.GoldengloveMemberI actually want to try it with guitar, what if it’ll work wonders?
GoldengloveMemberCan the Steel Leather work for guitar, btw?
GoldengloveMemberNice!
I’ve never been a big Fender fan for some reason, but it looks awesome…)GoldengloveMemberI will for sure!
GoldengloveMemberIt’s got a Celestion Seventy 80, not as good as them higher-range Celestions, but I wouldn’t call it cheap either. And I don’t plan on using the octave multi with blend all the way up and on low notes, so I guess it’s gonna be fine.
ThxGoldengloveMemberI’m buying tomorrow!!! We don’t have Catholic Christmas in Russia, so I’m getting for New Year, but anyway. Thanks for the responses, and I’ll try and maybe do a demo…
GoldengloveMemberYeah, just the filter in a small box with a knob (sensivity) and two sliders to determine the frequencies would be awesome.
GoldengloveMemberQuote:when I get one, mostly on guitar
but also bass when I play bassIt’s basically a NYC muff with more bass, or does it sound more different?
GoldengloveMemberJulian, you’re planning to use the bass muff on bass or guitar?
GoldengloveMemberOn the proguitarshop.com demo the bass boost was a bass boost… Strange
GoldengloveMemberSo, how’s the Nobles Pre? Nice and all?
And do you use the doctor q with the bass boost on?GoldengloveMemberI rarely use both QTron and the BMP simultaneously, but when I do, putting the QTron after the BMP results in some very cool noisy sounds, so I like it that way…
And thx for the pic!!!GoldengloveMemberSo, I tried it out today. The coolest tone I got was with the gain on minimum, mids on max, top boost on and on max, treble on min. A nice blues-rock tone.
But as far as hi-gain goes, it didn’t do it for me, there’s something about the mid control I don’t like. The tones are cool, but imo, it doesn’t beat an nice amps distortion. Still a good pedal, though.December 11, 2008 at 5:49 pm in reply to: Ideas for the next batch of diecast RI pedals and possible EHX pedals of the future. #88973GoldengloveMemberI vote for the Attack Decay too! The only similar stuff I could find is the swell setting on my old Digitech RP, which has no variation, and the hard-to-find-in-Russia-and-quite-pricey Pignose thingy.
Also, a weird idea, but – a pedal which has two parts – the guitar signal goes into an analog fuzz with lots of hard clipping, then the signal goes undergoes digital processing, during which the clipped parts are replaced with waveforms (triangle/sine/random), and the user has a lot of control. Basically, replace part of the waveform when it exceeds a certain level.
