ghostMemberQuote:here’s my last experiment with the hoax…and muff’s…
Is this multi-tracked? With you tweaking the Hoax? I’m guessing the Hoax is most of the high squeely sounds?
ghostMemberWhat EXP pedal ships w/ the HOG? Is it not EHX?
July 20, 2009 at 9:21 pm in reply to: I did some more HOG demos, at Ghost’s request. Some SMMH action as well. #99770ghostMemberWoah thanks julian!
Dig the second and third clips a lot!
The second clip you are triggering the freeze with the bass string hits? Then just playing on top correct? So it’ll freeze, then leave un-effected what you play on top? Or are you routing things to do this?
Thanks again! I’m slowly coming around to the HOG the more, non-organ sounding thing I hear.
ghostMemberSound clips. Looks good! Nice clean layout!
ghostMemberelectro harmonix KILLING it!!!
:freak:
ghostMemberThose demos are frustrating. None of the new (and exciting as hell) features explored whatsoever. Where’s my INFINiTE Cathedral action!?
Guitar players can be so boring! :rawk:
ghostMemberghostMemberI’ve gigged rock/psych band gigs w/ a Fender Pro Jr. many times. That’s what? 15 tube?
Not sure on the conversion of tube s. SS – the onlt solid state I have is an old 100w Califone school PA, with a Jensen in it.

The EH Man
let’s SEE it!
ghostMemberYeah they did. I just got a kick out of that though…
ghostMemberQuote:Mogwai:Stain:Hazarai:Hog:Knockout:Microsynth:Video:WatchI find it odd that Mogwai had a special edition Big Muff, and NONE of them use a BIG MUFF!? Haha….
ghostMemberGood lord, I’m going to have to get that Vocoder box as well!
ghostMemberSee, OK… I have a large older Green Sovtek Small Stone – sounds great. And I use it fairly often. I’m just looking for something that floats my boat in the “more control” world. I don’t know, I have a feeling that honestly if I can find a Polyphase to check out a little more extensively that it’s what I’m looking for. It’s just that I end up in guitar shops with just the Polyphase and a guitar. My setup relies heavily on loopers, guitar + ebow, bow, slide, etc… And then Vocal loops. So it’s really difficult for me to test out certain pedals in a shop. Particularly Phasers. Tremolo, octaves, loopers, delays – are always fairly apparent. A Phaser is such a particular beast in how it treats different sounds…
ghostMemberYeah the idea just hit me,as the Cathedrals infinite at Feedback 100 feature. Which is something I’ve sadly only seen Digitech do. Such a good idea. Adding EXP to control this would be the winning move though.
ghostMemberI am so torn on this pedal! In theory it seems like exactly what I’m looking for. But like all phasers I’ve tried out I just never end up being impressed enough. So I always go home empty handed, and sitting here wanting a Phaser.
I need to hear/see some demos of this thing on more tonal (less funk) examples. Mode Zero has some great samples, but I need more. Maybe someone with keyboards running thru it?
The last time I tried it out in a shop (I have tried it and others many times) I did notice more than before that it sounded thinner than I had previously thought.
