I have heard several folks refer the the Behringer Vintage Time Machine as a clone of the DMM. Anyone have any experience with this? At about $70 I may just have to pull the trigger and buy one.
Hello, You should maybe try the Memory Boy. It’ll cost you around $99.00. For the a few dollars more, you can have a far superior product than the Behringer clone. It’s not a DMM, but you can have a lot more fun with this than the Behringer.
Good Luck!
The new Memory Boy straps on the cape and flies with heritage into the search for amazing sound at a price that mere mortals can afford.

I have a copy of the Ei KT90 data sheet, but it would be nice to have plate curves for higher screen voltages, and for the actual EHX KT90.
I did find this:
http://www.pearl-hifi.com/06_Lit_Archive/01_Audio_Notes/Audio_Output_Trans.pdf
Which has plate curves for 300V screen.
Any ideas? Or, at the least, does anyone have some information on this tube, like how similar it is to Ei KT90?
Thank you.
Hello,
I hope those Spec Sheets I forwarded you helped you out.

That’s great… Somebody got a sneak peak of the new Big Foot Muff. This is the same muff from the golden age of classic cinematography… the long hairy fuzz. Step on this one with your size 13.
Nice find Graphic Fuzz….
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberThe idea is to go forward. Don’t create what was created. Create your own and move beyond. The Electro Harmonix XO Series are more convenient for that purpose. They fit in pedal boards and play well with others. Electro Harmonix designed the tools for imagination. It’s up to you to make use with what we offer. Don’t live in the past, live in the now. Play On!
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberThe wood box helped smooth out the Big Muff distortion slightly. The tone was there and it still had that “woody” tone. You could also use the wood box to elevate the pedal off the floor so you have a slightly higher treble due to the height.
Good Luck!FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberQuote:The store i go to buy most of my stuff said about 5 weeks ago that they ordered a couple of things from Electro Harmonix. i cant wait longer, i need my big muff now! but seriously, how long does this usually take to get an order from New York to Toronto? What is the Name Of The Store?
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberThe Big Muff…. You can always turn down the volume on your guitar and you can get some great tones out of this box. Indeed a classic and used by many. Single coils and Muff go together well. Play around with your Guitar’s Volume and Tone Controls and you can dial in something great. Fuzz On Fuzz Off.
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberIf it’s still under warrenty, we can send you that part no problem at all. In fact, email your address privately and I will put one in the mail for you.
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberThe Bass Big Muff is just an awesome answer for that fuzz question. You can use this box on Bass, Guitar and Keyboards. Don’t the the word “Bass” fool you…. on guitar, this thing is just a panacea for tone dullness.
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberThe Tone Wicker Muff is just an out of control fuzz box that you can tame just by grabbing it from the peak of saturation and controlling it to the point of peak distortion… the fuzz is just so good. the highs and lows can really do you in.
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberQuote:HeyI’ve just been messing around with my wah pedal, trying to get the switch to be “stompable”, and somehow as soon as i fixed my wah, the big muff went odd.
It’s not an especially noticable problem but my dad agrees with me that something’s not right – it seems to have started producing some very very odd dissonant harmonics which become more apparent as the note decays, and making lots of noise, kinda like a dying battery, except that i’m using an external power supply. It does, however, still do it when i use a battery.
turning the volume down on the guitar and sustain up on the muff seems to eliminate the normal signal that remains and single out the craziness, and it sounds like a ring modulator. anyone know what the heck is going on here?
Where are you placing your wah? Before or after the Big Muff??
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberMore for sure…. there are plenty of Q’s in the family… this one will stand out and be the black sheep. I heard this thing. This will keep you indoors for days as you crack the audio spectrum and embrace the power within…. it sounds great too.
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberIt comes right from NYC.
FUZZ (EHX Staff)MemberIt really could anywhere in the pedal chain. For maximum hum reduction I think putting between guitar and pedal board works best. Experiment…. Good Luck!
