Hi everybody.
I forgot to tell you how it went.
With the Switch Blade I can do what I wanted.
The tails are there.
The problem is that when I cut out the Memory Man, leaving it ON but selecting the other channel, there’s still delay! In some way (and I’m too stupid to understand why) the delay keeps doing his job, at a very low volume, but still…
To solve this I can always switch it off right after I have changed the channel.
So I get the new riff with no delay, the tails of the old riff, and no delay. Changing channel and AFTER that switching off the Delay. A bit annoying but still ok.
The negative thing is that I can’t out the pedal in a corner of my pedal board and use just the switch blade, because I still have to switch it off…
that’s it.
THANKS!fuh577MemberQuote:Yea my next one will have a 3 year warranty, so I probably don’t play metal anymore by the time it will breakfix it!
shit happens…
…just fix it!
I have been using (and mistreating) EHX pedals since I was born.
I have never had problems.
get another one on pro guitar shop!
Be more “rock and roll”… throw it to Britney Spears!fuh577MemberQuote:Enjoyed that….What were your settings?I’m in Italy for some sun and salami. I’ll let you know as soon as I come back to Sweden!
fuh577MemberI live in Malmñ¶, Sweden.
The local dealer closed down two months ago.
I have already removed the 2 faders, I just need to solder the new ones on the circuit.
I have a friend who builds his own pedals and mics but I need the parts.
That’s it.December 2, 2011 at 11:30 pm in reply to: Memory Man Hazarai with tails after switching off… #116445fuh577MemberQuote:You can put it in a looper with trails capabilities (ie, the switching is done with ICs or flip-flops, not mechanically), or you could use it in parallel, and control the return signal from the pedal’s output. Thanks man, but I don’t get it.
I won’t use anything out of EHX equipment.
The questions are:
1) Is my Switch Blade faulty?
2) If I build my own switch will it work better or will I still have the same problem for the same reason I have it with my Switch Blade?fuh577MemberI finally fixed my pedal chain with all the new pedals and I tried the Switch Blade before the Memory Man. I was very excited because this way I can save some space on the first line, using the Switch Blade as Delay Switch.
The thing is that when I change channel there’s still delay in the signal.
Something keeps going into the memory man, and you can hear the delay in the back, not if you keep playing loud, but if you stop you hear it.
I can still do what I wanted. Change channel, tails are on, keep playing new part with tails in the back.
So for now I just switch on the delay when I need it, switch it off with the Switch Blade when I’m done and then as soon as I have a second I switch off the Delay as well.
I have what I want.
But the Switch Blade shouldn’t work this way.
Thanks!November 14, 2011 at 3:05 pm in reply to: A problem with the preset led of my Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai. #116335fuh577MemberQuote:same daisy chain cable each time?I used a T-REX power station (changing cables), then I sold it and I got a Diago Powerstation since I have heard it’s a super power supply with daisy chain. In the end I powered it with the original EHX 9.6V power supply. Whatever I do, the noise is there. And it’s the same exact noise that I have with the Soul Preacher once I switch them on. The problem could be solved with 9V battery. But I’m not a fan of batteries. Frustrating.

They HATE being daisy chained – noisy as hell. Mine was unusable.
Try lots of different power supplies. I tried about 6 (all still noisy) until by chance I tried an old 9V supply I had lying around and PRESTO! Quiet as can be.
It’s now one of my favorite pedals and the basis of my sound.
Power Supply. I tried them all. I even bought the EHX power supply.
It’s shit. With the battery it works fine. Daisy chained is bad.
I thought of selling it and get a new one. But if you had the same problem then I’m just fucked.
Do you know what? The Soul Preacher has exactly the same problem.
I mean. It can’t be a mystery. There’s no magic power supply, there’s the right one, and the wrong. You have the right one. I have the wrong one!November 11, 2011 at 11:34 am in reply to: A problem with the preset led of my Stereo Memory Man w/Hazarai. #116316fuh577MemberDude.
The price is cheap.
The sound is not cheap.
The look is not cheap.
Electro Harmonix pedals are totally cool.
The pedals work. All of them.
Even the Memory Man. Since the led does not effect the sound.

That’s why I buy them.
I have a sort of addiction. I had many of the old ones, sold them for need of money, and now I own 15 pedals of the latest family. I keep buying them. I can’t stop.
it’s not the first time that I have a problem with them, but mine was not a complaint.
I just wanted to know why.
If it’s because I used it the wrong way. I don’t blame the company for making cheap pedals.
Thanks anyway. I’ll keep ignoring it.fuh577MemberThanks man! But I don’t really get it. I’m not a native speaker and it sounds like rocket science even if I know it’s not. What do I need for this quick operation? Can you make a list? Maybe linking some pics?
Is this just to check if the true pass is mixed up with the circuit or external/removable?
I hope it’s not a big problem. I’ll buy a beer!fuh577MemberQuote:Mine doesn’t Hum all that much… I was actually surprised. My little big muff hums quite a bit, not my Germanium.Which power supply are you using?!
fuh577MemberQuote:They sound great, but they hum like hell when used with an AC power supply. With batteries it’s fine, but the power supply makes it noisy. Kind of annoying. I don’t like using batteries when it can be avoided.Same problem here.
With the battery works perfectly.
With single 9V power supply there’s a crazy BZZZZZZZZZZZZZ even if not ON.
With an harley benton power plant or the the Fuel Tank, when you switch it on there’s a crazy BVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV.
So… maybe getting a Diago powerstation to solve the problem, but if you guys have some good news I’ll be glad to hear it.
