Hey ambient tales, Ive had the cathedral since it came out and I have to say Im impressed. It has Lots of nice sounding reverbs plus a two second echo which is great, i highly recommemd this pedal!
About the infinite sustain you could hold the switch down or you can set the reverb time fully clockwise so you dont have to hold it down. Go to musiciansfriend.com they have a great return policy, no questions asked and they will even pay for the shipping back to them. So if you dont like it just send it back. Hope that helps.freekzilaMemberfreekzilaMemberAnother setting for echo: blend at full, feedback and delay at 0, now you can use the tone/damping control as a filter! Now throw in some reverb if you like.
freekzilaMemberQuote:hey freekzila,Awesome looking pedalboard, waaayyy bigger than mine, which is one pedal  (but im just starting with pedals, I used ((still)) own a floor pod but I want more tone to play with to my adventure into the stompbox world has begun!!!!
I am I total reverb freak, and have wanted the Holy Grail for I while now, but the I saw the cathedral.
How is it? Is it worth it over a HG+?
Thanks man i have alot of fun with it! Get ready for a wild ride the world of effects is both awesome and scary! So I really like the cathedral and heres why- lots of reverbs, lots of parameters to mess with, infinite button is cool, it can sound natural or over the top depending on how u set it. That last ones kinda of a pro and a con because you really have to dial it in to sound exactly how you want it but when u do find a good setting it can be saved which is great. I would get it over the HG+ it has more features for not much more money. oh yea along with all the reverbs you get a 2 second echo!! ITs a great pedal!!
