Yet another reply from EHX tech support in case anyone needs a replacement:

Wrong picture but correct item. Call them to confirm.

Just a follow up. Even though I’m practically neighbors with EHX HQ, they don’t sell directly to consumers. After exhausting all the usual suspects (GC, Sam Ash, etc) I called back and spoke to Gary in sales. This dude rocks! Sensing my frustration, he took charge of the situation and instead of passing the buck, said “Frank, screw it, I’ll just send you one despite our policy”. Thanks Gary, you have a friend and customer for life. EHX now has my undying support thanks to my new hero, Gary.

NYC – I live uptown, but usu gig in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. I assume you’re Alex from Prague? Do you speak English natively? Pretty impressive if not. Czech is not one that I speak, despite having several close friends that were from there. I really enjoy your music, I would definite come to see you if you ever make it stateside. The orig adapter was either nicked outright, or inadvertently swapped for a different one at a gig (to most people, they all look the same). Deep down I know you’re right, sounds like a recipe for disaster. I cant believe not one EHX distributor in NA has one; strangely in the UK I found one but the damn company is right in my neighborhood (well, they are “designed in NYC” but _made_ in China). I guess I need to learn patience and just order one and wait a month. PS soundcloud stream is much better, btw :thumb:

Sorry for causing so much trouble over a post that by right would have died a peaceful death last year if I hadn’t poked it with my stick. You guys truly are top notch, and when I do get around to splicing the right connector a 9VAC adapter, I promise I’ll post the results here.

And please accept my apologies for being a rude and stereotypical New Yorker, Mr Neely :freak: And thanks for the correction above on the, er, Freeze Pedal adapter…

First of all, I was not being ironic. You remind me of my favorite band of all time, The Catherine Wheel. If I had the talent I’d be doing something closer to your style. Screaming over loud guitars has its own rewards I guess, tho.

Secondly, although new here, I have seen Mr Neely’s name come up in many contexts in discussion groups, all good, and I figured he doesn’t need MY approval (sorry anyway Ron). I think my real frustration was begot from my frustration in finding a replacement for my stolen Humdebugger power supply. NO ONE sells them in my hemisphere!!!! I LOVE that pedal! I promise I WILL hook up a 9V AC adapter once I find the right plug to splice on it AND WILL TELL ALL THE WORLD of my victory or defeat. No longer shall we be victims of……..anyway.

Thanks for the soundcloud link to your band, def gwanna give it a proper listening.

Till we cross paths again   :rawk: Frank

A little defensive are we Mr. Senior member. Do not worry, no pedals were harmed in my original post. My thinly veiled sarcasm clearly went over your head. I think i is a perty good reader, thank you. I just feel sorry for the OP who never got an explanation, just a chiding, and as a result, decided not to use a good pedal. I think anyone who can operate a computer (present company excluded) would be insulted when an “expert” replies “That’s why it has a 7.5vdc adapter and not a 9vdc one” Anyone who spend a week in highschool understands the fault in that type of self-referential logic. If Mr All Knowing EH Guru took the time to actually fact check and explain his answer, I would forgive his hubris and the irony of his (presumably) self bestowed title. As for YOU, good sir, get a sense of humor, put a shirt on when playing your Teisco, and gloat in the knowledge that halfway through listening to “Awakening”, myspace’s injudicious use of shockwave flash plugins crashed my computer, taking with it several unsaved pages of my manifesto, three horn charts in various stages of completion, and most disastrous of all, the chat log containing the IM of a lovely young lady who was just loosening up on the ol’ web-cam after nearly an HOUR of cajoling. You obviously are talented, and have a promising musical career ahead. I dare you, though to confront what might well be called “The Anti-‘The Dream Hunter'” (<---nested quotes, niice;) Namely, my band, The Mulligan Gang. http://www.ReverbNation.com/TheMulliganGang#!

With all due respect, how can I believe your terse, dismissive reply when you don’t even know it is AN AC CURRENT that the pedal requires!!!! Will you replace my pedal now that I fried it with a 7.5V DC converter as you instructed. What a poser. The “EH Man”…Sheesh.
