It seems that the Deluxe BMP 3053C is not very popular but as there are so many New and Old Big Muff models on the market it would be great for everybody to know WHICH models have the low frequency hum and which models DON’T have the low frequency hum. Everybody could write here I own BMP model x I like the sound because… and it has or doesn’t have the hum. I am saying this because I recently discovered that several modern models have the hum ! It is easy to check : Put the sustain control at 10, average volume on pedal and amp or desk, flat eq, play then stop playing for 10 seconds with all controls on guitar at 10 and tell us if you hear a hhuuuuuuuuuuuum or not ! Beware of feedback and if you have a single coil guitar make sure there is no interference from a heater or neon light.

This is not the old Polychorus, this is a 1990 reissue ! They don’t look the same, they don’t sound the same, not the same IC’s. Yours is much closer to the present Polychorus in a different housing, inspired from the original but not the same. In my opinion the original sounds better in chorus mode, I own one since 1979.

Be very cautious with the 2 SAD1024A, they are fragile and the slightest short will burn them. I own the same pedal, it only had one trouble 2 years after purchase, circa 1982, one of the SAD1024A died -the pedal had no sound- I replaced it (they were cheap at that time now they are out of price) it still works fine now. It is my favourite chorus pedal and I have a lot.

Hi… I’am answering to myself as I found something new and I’m still hoping someone will help me. It seems that 3053C was the first model and that the hum was suppressed on the following model which was 3054 A, this model being very easy to find on Ebay. I recently could find the schematic diagram for 3053C but unfortunately not for the 3054A. So if someone has a link fot the 3054A schematic, or more info about how to suppress the hum on the 3053C thanks. Didier (Frandid).
