Yes, you can overdub on Track 1. It sounds like the DUB setting for Track 1 is set to 0, which means when you overdub on Track 1, it fully erases any previously recorded audio while it records new audio. To allow overdubbing on Track 1, do the following:
1. Ensure TRACK 1 is selected. Press the TRACK 1 button if it is not already lit.
2. If the LOOP/DUB LED is not lit, press the PAGE button until it is lit.
3. Press the VALUE knob once so that the dot to the right of the two right digits is lit. The two right digits represent the DUB or Overdub value.
4. Turn the VALUE knob to change the DUB value for Track 1. Set it to 10 so that you can overdub onto Track 1 without the previously recorded audio being erased or gradually lowered in volume.
5. Try overdubbing on Track 1 now. It should work like the other tracks.Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorWe have not tested the Howitzer at either 9VDC or 12VDC. Most likely it won’t work at 9VDC but 12VDC should work. Make sure the output plug is center-positive and the 12VDC power supply is capable of supplying at least 1.5A.

Do you have any other devices that take MIDI clock which can try this same set up?
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorFirst thing is check the Fade-out parameter setting. Maybe this is set very high? Fade-out is a secondary mode setting, so to check and change the Fade-out setting, do the following:
1. Press and hold the PAGE button for about 1 second. Release PAGE when it blinks rapidly. Now you are in Secondary Page mode.
2. Press and release the VALUE knob until the two left digits display FD. Should be three presses of VALUE.
3. The right two digits indicate the current Fade-out time. If it shows OF, then Fade-out is disabled. If it shows a number, then fade-out is enabled the number represents the fade-out time in seconds. If a number is displayed, turn the VALUE knob counterclockwise to OF.
4. Exit secondary mode by pressing the PAGE button.
Try again to stop a loop.
By the way, if you’re recording a new loop, you will need to press the PLAY/STOP footswitch twice to actually stop playback. The first press closes the loop and sets loop length. The second press stops loop playback.
Also, make sure the QUANTIZE button is not lit at this time. If QUANTIZE is lit, the 95000 might continue recording to finish out a bar.

That’s going to be a little tricky for us to figure out so it won’t be part of the firmware update we’re currently working on. It has been added to our feature request list though.

Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorThe tonal differences between the DMM and Nano DMM have to do with input impedance. The older DMM has a lower input impedance equal to 100k. Depending on what is plugged into the unit, for example guitar straight into the pedal, lower input impedance might result in darker sounding dry and wet signals because the lower impedance might roll off some high end or treble.
The Nano DMM has a higher input impedance of 1M. Depending on what’s plugged in, for example guitar straight into the Nano DMM, the higher input impedance allows more high end to be retained.
Outside of the input circuit, LEVEL gain stage, and bypass circuit of the Nano DMM, the audio signal paths are identical between the two units.
Both the DMM and Nano DMM operate internally at 15VDC. The 24VDC DMM regulates the internal voltage down to 15VDC while the Nano DMM boosts the internal voltage to 15VDC. So the headroom is the same between the two.

Flick (EHX Staff)Moderator1. Loop audio is only on one of the stereo channels: The 1440 keeps the Left and Right channels separate from Input to Loop Recording to Output. So if you record a loop with only something plugged into the Left channel, only the left channel of the imported stereo wave file will have audio. Same is true if you record only plugged into the Right channel.
2. Extremely Quiet: Do you have the volume on your guitar at maximum? There is a wide range of amplitudes available depending on the pickups in your guitar. Some guitars have a very quiet average volume. You might need a booster pedal between your guitar and 1440 to make the recordings louder. Or you could import the wave files into software, like Audacity, and increase the amplitude of the waveform with software.
3. No Software Update: You might already have the latest firmware on your 1440? When you power it up, it will show a firmware version. What does it display you when you apply power? The latest version is 57.

Using a TS Cable, connect the SMARTClock’s Output A to Super Pulsar’s TAP/CLK IN jack. Make sure the Super Pulsar is set to External Switch mode, which it is by default.

Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorWe’ve looked into this problem and unfortunately Garageband does not provide a way for you to change the volume of the audio when it bounces to an mp3 file, even if you’ve reduced the volume of the stereo mix with Garageband’s master volume fader.
There are a couple of work arounds:
1. You could reduce the volume of all the instruments in your Garageband project and then bounce the tracks.
2. After you bounce the mix in Garageband, you could start a new Garageband project, import the mix you just created into a track, reduce the volume of the track and bounce the mix again.
