Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:I just read in the manual that the v256 is 24 bit 36 kHz..maybe the recording would have to match this? As opposed to 44.1 or 48 etc?
You do not need to match sample rates in this case because the V256 inputs are analog only. The signal from the audio interface needs to be analog. It does not matter if the sample rates do not match between the V256 and the audio interface.
It is important to think about sample rate when you send digital audio over cables, from one unit to another, but sample rate is not a factor when sending analog signals between units.
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:Should I use balanced or unbalanced cable? It is best to give the MIC IN connector on the V256 a balanced signal.
On the UAD Apollo are Line Outputs 3 & 4 balanced? Assuming they are, use a balanced cable with 1/4″ TRS on one end and male XLR on the other end. The TRS plug goes into Line Output 3 on the Apollo, the male XLR end connects to the V256 MIC IN.
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:Hello, im from argentina and i dont speak english very well, sory for that. I need to ask something, in the looper 22500, there is a way to save the settings in the banks, and dont have to put it one by one if they are diferent, every time that i erase and left the bank empty???
thank you!No the 22500 does not save settings for each bank. After you erase a bank, the settings go back to the current global default settings. To change the global default settings, go to an empty bank, set all parameters the way you want them and then begin recording a loop. As soon as you start recording the new loop, the global default settings updates to the settings in the loop you just started recording.
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:Has anyone figured out a way to make loops fade out, or in on the this machine. I have used the overdub function, which is pretty cool. But it seems to only fade out one loop once you add a second loop. I would like to fade out the end of songs, and also fade from loop A to loop B in sequential mode, if possible, but the looper doesn’t seem to be able to do that. Also, in one of the videos, I think by Bill Rupert, he explains that you can use the 22500 as a delay pedal. I haven’t figured this one out either.
Thanks for any feedback!
The 22500 does not fade-out loops when stopping them or changing from one loop to the other.
Bill’s technique for using the 22500 as a delay pedal is to use the OVERDUB parameter as the Feedback control normally seen on delay pedals. Set Overdub to maybe 50% to start with. Then create a short loop, the delay time will be equal to the length of the loop so two taps on say the Loop A FSW will create a loop length equal to the time between your taps.
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:Hi,
Is there any way to reamp recorded voice through the pedal?
I’ve been trying to do it but no success… Vocoder seems to be working only when I’m conecting Microphone. I tried to do it with the jack – xlr cable (jack in output of my soundcard, xlr to MIC input on V256) and it doesn’t seems it receive any signal..
Thanks in advance for the help. This should definitely work. What soundcard are you using?
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:Hey! I was just looking around on here and found this thread. I’m havin the exact same problem with my silencer and the fx loop on my 6505. When I run the silencer thru the front of my amp via input/output it works great but as soon as I run thru the fx loop all hell breaks loose and my amp sounds like horrid.I was really hoping I didn’t have a defective pedal but it now seems like it. Amazing…. *sigh*
What are the connections to the Silencer?
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorIt sounds like it might be a defective Silencer. I can’t think of anything else at the moment. Is it still under warranty?
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorOne thing I forgot to ask you the first time: what is plugged into the Silencer’s INPUT jack? Your guitar should be plugged into the Silencer’s INPUT jack and then the Silencer’s SEND jack should be connected to the input of the Moogerfooger.
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorThanks for purchasing a Black Finger. Lamp uses an incandescent lamp in the Black Finger.

Bass Balls & Mini Q-Tron #121744Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorIt shouldn’t be a problem to use the 3.5mm converter attached to a 1Spot for both older style pedals. The correct polarity for the 3.5mm plug is TIP POSITIVE. If the polarity of the 3.5mm plug is wrong it could damage the pedals so make sure tip is positive before plug them in.

Is there any loss of quality by doing that via cables from output back to input? Also, regarding step 2 again, I thought if you have the slider set to minimum that you end up with really low signal and the volume is not loud enough, and then its basically unuseable?
There could be some loss of audio quality by bouncing via cables but if the gain structure is set up correctly, it shouldn’t be too noticeable. Personally I think you are better off leaving the Mixdown track where it is and overdubbing on top of it with new tracks.
Regarding the placement of the Mixdown slider in step 2, when it is set to minimum, any audio that was previously on the Mixdown track is erased as you record onto the Mixdown track. The new audio that is recorded is not effected by the Mixdown slider’s setting.
The reason you might want to set the Mixdown slider to its minimum position, for your first Mixdown recording only, is so that you do not have to be careful about where you start and stop Mixdown recording. If you happen to record 1.5x the loop cycle during the initial Mixdown, the section of the loop that recorded twice onto the Mixdown track will not jump up in volume, it will still sound like you mixed just one loop cycle. If you did this with the Mixdown slider set to max, the section of loop that was recorded twice will jump in volume on the Mixdown track because it has been recorded twice.
After you finish your initial Mixdown recording, move the Mixdown slider to its maximum position.

That way you don’t have to be careful about when you start and stop recording the Mixdown track, as long as you get at least one full pass during Mixdown record.
The manual is suggesting that you connect the 45000’s Left and Right output jacks to its Left and Right Input jacks with 1/4″ instrument cables. So you record the output of the Mixdown track back into the input of the 45000. You have to be sure the DRY slider is at minimum so it does not introduce positive feedback and the 4 main track sliders should be at minimum as well. If you record onto just one of the main tracks, it will convert the Mixdown track to mono. If you do a stereo recording then the Mixdown track remains stereo.

The best technique for adding more tracks to the Mixdown track is to use this overdub feature. Here are some tips for building up and adding to the Mixdown track:
1. Fill up the four main tracks. I assume the Mixdown track is currently empty.
2. Push the Mixdown slider down to its minimum position. Press the Mixdown slider so that it’s LED is lit which means it is now the active track.
3. Press the record button (both the REC and PLAY LEDs should be lit). You are now mixing your 4 tracks to the Mixdown track.
4. After you mix at least one full pass of the loop onto the Mixdown track, press the RECORD button to put the 45000 into PLAY mode, push the Mixdown slider up to maximum and mute the other 4 tracks by pushing them down to their minimum positions. You are now listening to the Mixdown track. If you are not happy with the Mixdown track, go back to step 2. If you are happy proceed to step 5.
5. Record new audio on the 4 main tracks while listening to the Mixdown track. At this point there is already audio on the 4 main tracks so you will most likely want to engage PUNCHIN mode while recording the first pass of any of the four main tracks.
6. Once all four main tracks are filled, they can be overdubbed onto the Mixdown track. Make sure the MIXDOWN slider is at maximum, set up the 4 main tracks as you want them. Press the Mixdown button so that its LED is lit and then press RECORD to record the new material onto the Mixdown track. On this step it is important that the MIXDOWN slider is set to maximum because its slider sets both its volume and the overdub amount. If the slider is below maximum, the previously recorded audio on the Mixdown slider will increasingly be reduced in volume with each psas of the loop.
7. Once the second Mixdown is complete, go back to Step 4 and repeat the process as many times as you like.Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:Same problem here. Any way to fix it? Or is it just a foulty design?Where are you located?
Flick (EHX Staff)ModeratorQuote:yes, I had reduction to max and the other knobs at around 12:00Strange. The Silencer should have been able to mute the noise from the Moogerfooger. Can you try turning the THRESH knob up to maximum? With THRESH at max, the Silencer will mute the FX Loop unless it receives a very loud guitar signal at the INPUT jack.
