I don’t know yet. Probably a std MIM in white, but maybe a Highway One in blonde. I have a Highway One Strat that I absolutely love. I used to have an American Std Tele about 8 years ago that I gifted to a close friend. It was amazing, but I don’t think the difference in quality between MIA and MIM (except maybe electronics) is significant enough for me to want to spend the extra bucks.

So, can I leave it all hooked up (to other pedals and what not) without draining the battery as long as I turn the switch off?

That is the problem, I have bought 4 guitars in the past year, a new amp last month and 13 pedals total. I am not breaking the bank and I’m divorced so I don’t have a wife to spend all my money anymore, but man, I need to stop buying and double up on my playing! I’m done with muffs for a while. After I get a chorus and phaser I will quit pedals for a while. Unless…I can get my hands on a muff fuzz…then I’m done…for real…I hope!

I had to take the reverb unit out of my Peavey Valveking because it was buzzing so bad. No real loss for me. I am just not a fan of reverb. Good luck. I hope you can find a solution.

I’ve been wanting a Muff Fuzz too. Doesn’t have to be a plug in though.

He shoots, he scores! That’s a ram’s head w/BC239s. And very nice condition too. I had one of those and they’re great sounding muffs.
    Well done.

Thanks! It really does sound amazing. It is the sound I have been looking for. The problem is…it hasn’t cured my GAS!

For Siamese Dream Billy Corgan simply used a stock V4 op-amp Big Muff through a Marshall JCM 800 100 watt head loaded with KT88 China tubes. Almost all the heavy (Siamese Dream) tracks were recorded through this, solos included.

I have a pic of Billy’s V4 Muff and some quotes from him about it in the V4 Muff section here.

    AWESOME site!!!

I love Corgans’ tone from those days, but it isn’t the supreme tone for me. It is similar to what I want though.

Another one of the board. Kind of a hard picture to take. My camera struggled with it.

Need to go get batteries for the camera. I will definitely do it tomorrow. It isn’t the RAMS head though. It’s the modern looking case.

v3 is still a ram’s head inside though — EH3003. Those things are sleepers and a way round the high prices for the little face graphic version. Same muff, different jacket. I had one, sold it, just bought another. Mine had BC239Cs in it and was an awesome muff.

Couldn’t agree more. I saw an actual Rams head go for $560 USD the same day I got this one. That blows my mind.

    Thanks

I didn’t know I could have so much fun with the Switchblade either! I have been using it more to run two different amps than anything else. Really cool!
