I say go take a lesson somewhere. Even great players can benefit from a little instruction sometimes. Also playing with other people in a band or whatnot can help.
firesgt911MemberI use open tunings to play slide sometimes or if I play folkish type stuff. It is fun to jump out of the box.
firesgt911MemberIf it’s new, then I don’t know. My old EHX pedals have a similar sound, but it is because they are not true bypassed. There are some very knowledgeable guys around here who I hope can chime in.
firesgt911MemberDoes it sound like a really quiet distortion sort of sound in the background? It this an old BlackFinger?
firesgt911MemberHAHAHA! Thanks…it’s been a long day.
firesgt911MemberAnytime! HAHAHA I don’t want my daughter to see it either. I should have put the disclaimer up from the get go.
firesgt911MemberSorry about that. I changed the title.
December 18, 2009 at 3:23 am in reply to: Sovtek big muff VS Big muff pi which do you like best #105499firesgt911MemberMy favorite are the NYC models…more specifically my version 3! I do love my Sovtek, especially through my Vox AC4TV. Hell, I wish I had one of each version. I love all Muffs.
firesgt911MemberBummer!
firesgt911MemberI have some monster cables and bullet cables that I like a lot. I don’t notice much of a difference sound wise either. I like how heavey duty they are. I do have a Ernie Ball cheapy cable that I’ve had for 12 years. Works like the day I bought it.

It is true bypass and has the fasel inductor. It’s sweep is noticably longer then a cry baby and the Vox v847. It sounds good with distortion and without. I can’t imagine anything being much of an upgrade from it, but I don’t use wah that often. I don’t know how close it is to the Clyde deluxe.
firesgt911MemberAgreed! I keep a business card taped over the girl, to protect my daughters innocence. But it sounds really good!

firesgt911MemberThat’s a hard one. They both sound soo damn good. If it were me, I would buy both, but the Tiny Terror first!
firesgt911MemberI love cheese too. I guess I’m a simple man, but good sharp chedder is my favorite! Goes well on almost everything!
