Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:So I went and bought a 22 Calibre and it sounds good, however when I played it with my strat (3 single coils with SD Antiquity pickups) it’s very noisy – any idea how to get rid of this noise?
Noise issues associated with single coils are as old as the electric guitar itself. That isn’t to say there might not be another issue thrown in the mix, but there is a very good reason why pup mftrs have been designing new noiseless single coils for decades.

Flangers typically have less delay time than a chorus. The Deluxe Electric Mistress has a delay time that is long enough to create a chorusy effect…. Just hear how Andy Summers or David Gilmour used the Mistress circa 1980.

The Deluxe Memory Boy is analog, and it has tap tempo.
Quote:I do need a compressor! does the black finger work for all kinds of stuff, or is it better with chords or leads? There are other EHX compressors to consider — the White Finger and the Soul Preacher. It’s difficult to say which one will be best suited for your needs. I prefer the Black Finger for naturally compressed clean tones, or for attenuating the signal to my amps. I think the White Finger and the Soul Preacher are better for getting those very sustained and squashed Dynacomp type tones.
Quote:does EHx make a good tremolo pedal? one with a good solid CHOP? I dont need volume going up and down slowly, I need like, oscillation.Yes, the Stereo Pulsar and the Wiggler are both excellent.
November 6, 2010 at 6:02 pm in reply to: Q-Tron+ (And additional pedals) for $250. Worth it? #112429Fender&EHX4everModeratorCheck the completed listings for everything on ebay, and do the math to see if you can buy the lot then sell the stuff you dont want for the price you paid.
At first glance, id say it looks profitable, but i dont know what folks are paying for that stuff lately.
November 6, 2010 at 4:04 pm in reply to: What Electro-Harmonix pedals are worth checking out right away? #112428Fender&EHX4everModeratorThe Black Finger Compressor is essential to me, but I don’t use a lot of distortion, overdrive, or fuzz. I prefer to play clean most of the time, and I’d usually rather use the natural breakup of my amplifiers than use a distortion pedal.
But if you are mostly playing distorted leads, solos, and riffs, then the Black Finger might not be as useful to you.
The Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai is probably the most exciting pedal EHX has made in the last 10 years. I’ve been using it since 2007, and I’m still finding new ways to use. If you like delay, chorus/flanger, looping, and experimental sounds, it is essential.
But I could go on forever…
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:Thanks Fender,
What is the difference between me getting a small stone and an electric mistress vs. the flanger hoax?
There must be something better if you get the pedals seperatey right? 78 (ss) + 150 (dem) > 201 (fh) (prices via sweetwater)
Any other ideas?
DueslerThe small stone and mistress combo is classic… You cant go wrong with those.
The hoax is very different from either of those. I have some demoes of it at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=750566&content=music
Fender&EHX4everModeratorI have always loved the sound of a phase shifter on synthesizers. The Flanger Hoax would be a lot of fun.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:I’m think of getting a 22 Caliber and running through a 1×12″ for home use as my Fender Bassman and Carlsbro 50 Top are a bit loud. What I wanted to know is does the 22 Caliber have a decent amount of clean headroom suitable for playing quitly at home and to sometimes play a bit louder (but not too loud) for when the neighbours go on holiday? Also how well does it take pedals?Yes to both questions. I use mine to power my 12″ rotating speaker cab. It gets loud cleans, and it takes well to pedals.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorThe EH1318A is a 1978 Deluxe Electric Mistress.
Someone modified it by adding the extra pot/knob, and re-painting it.
Also, the Bad Stone never used Reticon chips as far as I know.
Sorry, alllendodead. That’s not an authentic Bad Stone, but it is an authentic vintage Deluxe Electric Mistress with modifications!
Does it sound good? I have a 1978 Deluxe Electric Mistress, and it sounds beautiful.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:pedal has two more knob are on the right and at the left of TRS connectors (These knobs are not visible on a photo)
left knob – for volume/right knob marked “auto” – for switchings between the shifter & phaser
“the top left knob” (you asked) for adjustment of shifter effect
Three knobs on the right for phaser effect like on electric mistress deluxe, & range too.
i hope you understand, very bad know englishCan you share photos of the inside?
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:Forgive me for my bad English.I have a pedal ehx bad stone deluxe
And I can’t find the information about it on this site.
