Steely Dan – one of my favorite American acts. AJA is pure bliss to me.
Joy Division kind of epitomize that cold, angular sound between 1979 – 1981, along with U2, Echo & the Bunnymen, Wire, Gang of Four, Bauhaus, P.I.L. etc. I love that era of music
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:I’m sure I must have asked you this before F&ehx;, but do you like Elvis Costello?I like some of his stuff, but I’ve never been a big enough fan to buy his albums.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorIf I had to choose one artist above the rest, I suppose I’d choose The Beatles. I can’t imagine life without them.
In general, I’m all about melodic UK rock – from The Beatles to The Who to Pink Floyd to David Bowie to Brian Eno to The Police to U2 to Cocteau Twins to Radiohead, and everything in between.
And my favorite USA bands tend to be the ones that sound like UK rock – like Big Star, The Cars, Tom Petty & Heartbreakers, Guided By Voices, and Sea & Cake.
My favorite era of music would probably be the era from 1977 to 1984 – Disco, Post-Punk, New Wave, Power Pop.

Congrats on the awesome score, danieldanger!
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:I’ve never seen that EHX echo 600 before either…..wow, so much rare stuff in there.I’m not certain, but I think that the Echo 600 was the first stepping stone toward the 16 Sec Digital Delay.

I’ve heard of those, but I’m guessing that they are EXTREMELY rare. I’m not above begging someone to post more info or clips of this EHX treasure
Fender&EHX4everModeratorSeriously, I’d love to hear a track that uses it.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorI like the idea.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorWhat is the rackmount unit next to the Attack Decay?
Fender&EHX4everModeratorI prefer analog modulation, OD/distortion/fuzz, and filters.
I’m a sucker for a Fender spring reverb, and for analog delays; but digital reverbs and delays can do things that analog can’t, so I like both.

Fender&EHX4everModeratorFender&EHX4everModeratorYes! Yes! Yes! Fantastic combo, and worth the real estate methinks. If I were starting a Fuzz Rock Band, I could probably make do with just those 2 pedals.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:What would be the difference between that and #1 echo?#1 Echo is digital, and the Deluxe Memory Man is analog.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:can you pick them up cheaper than a new deluxe F&ehx;?They usually go for between $200 – $300 on eBay if they’re in good shape; but every so often I find them go for much cheaper. You have to be vigilant. Here’s one that recently sold: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160308455691&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006
It looks like it could have used a better set of knobs and a cleanup job, but I’ll bet it sounded fine.
