    Check this out: http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-Electro-Harmonics-Frequency-Analyzer-w-AC-sup_W0QQitemZ180333778763QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar_Accessories?hash=item180333778763&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:10|39:1|240:1318

Is this really vintage? He’s claiming that the unit originally ran on 2 9v batteries, and he modified it to use AC power.

These come up on eBay every so often. I highly recommend it. Works great with the Worm!

Hey! Another Fender Bullet owner! Do you have one of the original Tele-ish shaped ones?

Hey there! Nice Bullet, and the same color as mine; but I’ve got a USA ’83 S-3. Yours is an earlier USA model, probably ’81ish.

If I could only bring one pedal with me to any gig, it would be the Blackfinger. It’s a very different compressor from other ones I’ve used or own. Only in the extreme SQSH settings do you begin to lose some attack, but even then it is very subtle.

I think a lot of guys buy the Blackfinger, expecting to get some DynaComp compression, and are disappointed that it doesn’t really do that. What the Blackfinger really does is fatten up your tone.

I use mostly Fender guitars and vintage Fender amps. The Blackfinger complements them perfectly for clean picking and strumming, lead lines, and for fingerpicking arpeggios. I usually turn it off when playing dirt sounds, although it does sound great after the Germ OD and the Tube Zipper.

I know for sure that the H.O.G.’s footswitch works fine with the 16secDD.

Can The Worm be used as a normal wah (like a crybaby) if I plugged in an expression pedal? Also Im looking for a Pink Floyd-esque “Breathe in the air” phaser/ flanger (im not 100% sure the difference) sound. Should I go for a standard wah and Small Stone or Electric Mistress, or does the Worm have it all? Thank you

The new diecast Worm can be used as a wah with an expression pedal (like an M-audio EXP-1, or something comparable).

The phaser is great, and though not identical to the uni-vibe sound used by Pink Floyd, it gets in the ballpark.

I love a discussion that tries to quantify the state of “fuzziness.” 😆

I personally find that “fuzziness” is very much a contextual characteristic. Things sound fuzzier depending on what other sounds/textures they are juxtaposed with, or the element of surprise.

…and I also believe that higher gain will not necessarily accomplish more “fuzziness.”

I hope Mike Matthews is reading this. This is the Star Trek Convention version of Electro-Harmonix fans. Love it!

Only now, you’ve got me wanting to collect Deluxe Memory Man units, instead of Muffs. Oh the horror!

    Idiots!

this is a stupid question probably, but what do they mean by + or -5? i don’t quite understand what they are doing.

It’s a game where members are allowed to either award or deduct a maximum of 5 points per day to any of the pedals in the list. Eventually, only 1 pedal will remain standing.

Not a very engaging game, methinks.

It should be the same circuit as the Ram’s Head, but with different graphics, judging by the On/Off switch. This one might be an early graphic before they finalized on the red line.

I almost bought a ’77 version 3 last night on eBay, but decided I didn’t really want another Big Muff Pi. It sold for $125.

I’ve never tried the LPB-2ube or the English Muff’n; but I love the Hot Tubes and the Tube Zipper. The Hot Tubes is more flexible as a straight ahead overdrive. The Tube Zipper can isolate the overdrive, but it’s focus / strength is in the combination of the overdrive and the envelope filter.
