hahaha
do you have a photo of your entire collection somewhere? you seem to have everything…
by the way, how to the v1 and v2 small stones compare? i’m trying to track one of these vintage ones down but i don’t know which one to pounce on.
According to this site ( http://www.pedalarea.com/small_stone.htm ) the v1 and v2 are essentially the same circuit with only minor modifications. I really don’t hear any big difference between them. The first Small Stone I bought was the v3, and I think I like it the best. I picked up the v1 and v2 because I found them for a ridiculously good price.
Here’s the most recent pic of my EHX stuff, though there has been a few changes. I’ve since added the 2 vintage Small Stones, a Bad Stone, a vintage Freq Analyzer, a vintage BlackFinger, a BassBalls, and a 16sec DD foot controller. I sold the Crying Tone Wah because I still have the Muff Fuzz Crying Tone Wah.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorI love the vintage enclosures for nostalgic and sentimental reasons, but I’m glad that EHX is discontinuing them. There are enough used and NOS ones floating around out there on eBay to satisfy guys like me. In order for EHX to keep up with the market, they’re doing the right thing.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:what’s the difference? The LBMP is an IC BMP (tone bypass version from late 70s), but with the tone and sustain knobs set.
The LMP is a Muff Fuzz circuit in a stompbox.

Why not?

May 31, 2009 at 9:51 pm in reply to: Which EHX Chorus to go with and what is the difference ? #97213Fender&EHX4everModeratorThere are lots of EHX pedals that have chorus. The ones with an * are the ones I use. Out of all of them, I tend to use the Stereo PolyChorus, the Original Electric Mistrss, and the Deluxe Electric Mistress the most.

P.O.G.Fender&EHX4everModeratorFender&EHX4everModeratorMost guys typically place compression near the start of the chain; but in my case, I place the compressor after any pedal that I want to smooth out. For example, I like compression placed after the Qtron+, the Crying Tone Wah, and the Micro Synthesizer.
I don’t really like to use compression with dirt, because most dirt pedals already compress the signal sufficiently, like the Big Muff Pi. However, if I did use it with dirt, boost, or overdrive, I would want it before those pedals; unless I was trying to level out their volumes, or squash the dynamics.
As a general rule, I usually place compression before modulation, tremelo, delay, and reverb.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:What’s the deal on the old graphic equalizer pedal?
Any good?I have 2, and they are indispensible to me. I have a silver one and a black and yellow one. The silver ones are the oldest, but the black and yellows ones have sturdier sliders.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:I know exactly the sound you mean, I have the video and I was actually there in the crowd!! Reading festival UK 1991, what a year that was!!Unfortunatly I don’t own a DEM, but going on the sound I’d say it was run after the big muff to get that classic jet plane sound…
here’s the clip if anyone else has any ideas on settings.
lol
Great song! but I’m not even going to pretend that I can hear anything in the way of settings based on that track. It sounds like rawrwhoorrawreeerawrwhoorawreeooo!
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:He uses a DMM on Hot Freaks?Yep! I just learned that yesterday. Now if I could just figure out which phaser they use on Bee Thousand. Something tells me it’s a Small Stone, but I’m looking for evidence.
