That’s a bit far-fetched.
Haha… apparently you don’t know Puretube?
Fender&EHX4everModeratorFound another one. I can now run in stereo:

June 23, 2009 at 1:35 pm in reply to: “It Might Get Loud” w/ Jimmy Page, The Edge, Jack White #98280Fender&EHX4everModeratorI’m sooooooooooooooo excited about this film!
I love all 3 guitarists, and they make a really intriguing trio. Putting Page and Jack White together makes sense, since Jack White’s style is very influenced by Page. But throwing Edge into the mix is just perverse in the best way possible. What a great idea for a movie!
I saw all the comments on the EHX Facebook page. It really annoys me to hear all the guys who say, “so and so doesn’t deserve to be in this film.” These are 3 of the most influential guitarists of their generations, regardless if these guys like their music. Oh well, I can respect people’s right to their opinions without actually respecting their opinions.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:…which is unfortunate, because it sounds awesome.Did you get the power chord fixed on that other one yet?
I did :thumb:
It took me a whole night, though. Those strain-relief grommets are ridiculously difficult to remove and install.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorThe HOG is a tough one to place. Typically, I would place it at the very start of the FX chain. But it’s such a versatile pedal, it can be used in many different places. If you find yourself using the Freeze Volume a lot, for example, I would use both outputs so I could effect the dry output differently than the frozen output.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:But the second version (“Parallel/Series”) despite it’s okay too, has a problem:The issue is that both the fuzz and compressor output volume when pushed at max levels barely reach the unity gain. I think the pedal has gain enough to go over unity gain.
MIne has this problem too. I was wondering if it was a bad component; but now that you say you have the same problem, I’m guessing that this is just standard with the parallel/series-switch version.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorI don’t have any setting suggestions, but the real key to success with the Qtron is learning to use the Gain knob, because it regulates the amount of input to the filter. If you change pickups with your pickup selector, your Gain knob might need a different setting. If you change guitars, your Gain knob might need a different setting. If you use an effect in front of the Qtron, your Gain knob might need a different setting. Etc, etc… Even playing lower on the neck, or higher on the neck will sometimes require new settings.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:I just wish I could try it first to see how the dirts will compare to the Muff.Very different:
Fender&EHX4everModeratorMy funk rig would include:
Bass Micro Synthesizer
Octave Multiplexer
Qtron+
BassBalls
BlackFinger
The WormFender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:explaining the knobs/switches and what effect they have overall.Good grief! That’s no easy task. EHX had to add a Block Diagram to the manual to try and explain: https://www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/flanger-hoax.pdf
If you can wrap you mind around the diagram first, you might be able to pull off a video.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:i’ve now found just what I need to all my music taste the digitech rp500😆 All of these suggestions, and you arrive at a digitech rp500.
You will generally find that most pedal enthusiasts, especially EHX enthusiasts, have a distinct prejudice against digital multi-fx. It’s a bit like buying Hemingway’s entire anthology before having read one of his books. Most literary geeks start with one book, and then go from there.
But that isn’t to say that the rp500 won’t rock your world. :thumb:
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:Thank you very much. This has shown me the tone that I love comes with the 5 knob one. Time to throw down $200. lol.Yep. The classic DMM sound has modulation. I like my old ’78 for gritty lofi stuff, but my 5knobber is the magic machine.
Quote:I used to have one of these, please remind me what the squelch switch did…..It reduces the tendency for runaway self-oscillations at higher feedback settings. Not very exciting.

Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:THE TUBE STAIN-
Gain-Preamp Input
Hi-Hi Cut/Boost
Low-Low Cut/Boost
Tremolo-Tremolo Rate
Tremolo Depth-Alien invasion
Reverb-Reverb Mix
Output Gain-Pedal Output
6 Tubes: 1 Preamp, 2 EQ, 1 Tremolo, 1 Reverb, and 1 Output Boost. There’s one switch controlling Effects (and an additional footswitch input for more control) and one for EQ/Dirt.I like this. So it would be a real spring reverb?
Fender&EHX4everModeratorThe MemoryPlex – Tube driven cassette tape delay with real variable tape modulation for flanging and chorus effects. The tubes will also allow for natural tube overdrive and compression.
