Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:I was bummed there was no midi options on the Clockworks but figured what the hell, its a faithful reissue and lets not muddy it up with midi etc. I figured it was kind of meant to use with the 8 Step Program and that that would be able to function as a MIDI>Trigger interface…but he 8 Step only has MIDI In and no Clock/Gate/Trigger out!!!! What the hell. Would have been great to sync MIDI clock from MPC/DAW/etc to the 8 Step, then 8 Step syncing the Clockworks…voila you have a MIDI syncable polyrhythmic trigger system with a CV sequencer. Almost like a ARP Sequencer in pedal format.
TBH theres not much use for using these in combinations with EHX pedals which don’t typically have MIDI. OK I should never say that but they are really much more powerful tools in the vintage synth/eurorack realm.
Page 6 of the 8 Step manual gives the steps for connecting to an external clock https://www.ehx.com/assets/instructions/8-step-program.pdf
If you are lucky enough to grab a Molten Voltage CV-Sync, it will allow you to sync both the Clockworks and the 8 Step to any MIDI clock source.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorLove it! I can’t wait to try it with a HOG2 and the 8-Step Sequencer simultaneously.
March 12, 2017 at 5:17 pm in reply to: Pedal board friendly expression pedal in a conventional wah form #122681Fender&EHX4everModeratorJust a suggestion. These come up on eBay every so often.
I connect mine with a stereo cable into the expression inputs of several modern and vintage EHX pedals. Works great. Super rugged metal design. Easy to adjust the treadle with a bit of mechanical savvy. The pot is easy to replace if/when needed.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorIf I recall correctly, my old Holy Grail unit preferred a 9v 100mA supply over the 9v 500mA supply. I know that doesn’t make much sense, but such is the case.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:Quote:My first guess is that some of the Holy Grail units reuse the chips from the discontinued Holier Grail. So it would follow that the 8 modes are the same as the Holier Grail (long and short spring, hall, room, and flerb).I would love to know.
No, there is another thing DEMO modes – delay/reverb, tremolo reverb, etc…
Wow! Very strange, but intriguing ! Can’t wait to hear more about this.

Fender&EHX4everModeratorHope this helps. I postd a few settings there years ago.

Fender&EHX4everModeratorI’d like to add a question to this post.
Can the Chill Switch also be used as a ‘tip to ground’ momentary switcher?
I need a momentary switch to use with my Digitech 7.6 Time Machine for several functions such as Repeat Hold, Arm/Trigger, Record Cancel, etc.
Being that the Chill Switch is such a versatile utilitarian tool, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
Fender&EHX4everModeratorDownloaded it yesterday, and loving it! Congrats to EHX on a successful foray into software. I hope this is a first of more software products to come!!!
Fender&EHX4everModeratorImagining a Eurorack series where almost every parameter was CV controlled:
Super Replay / 16 Second Digital Delay module
LPB2 / BlackFinger External Audio Input module
Wiggler / Worm module
Tube Zipper module
TubEQ Filter module
Enigma / Riddle / Q-Tron module
Attack Decay / Super Ego module
MicroSynth / Mini Synth module… just getting started

So I wonder if they are identical in design to the 90s Sovtek Mig-50s? They certainly look similar.
Virtually identical with the exception of two things, Quality components, and No Cabbage smell…
Cabbage smell? LOL Were the Sovteks shipped from Russia on cabbage boats?
Quality components can make all of the difference. Nice!Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:They ARE out there, but you better get on it before it becomes to widely known, it’s still kinda under the radar on a grand scale.Thank you for the info!

Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:I did, totally scored on this one. This is the first I’ve heard about this. Wow!!!!!
Where do I sign up?Fender&EHX4everModeratorQuote:Sorry
The Foot Controller input on the RI 16SDD communicates via serial data, not control voltages, therefore it is not possible for a CV signal to trigger the 16SDD in any way.Thank you for the quick confirmation!
Then here is hoping that the modular synth market is growing enough to warrant consideration of a reissue Super Replay
