You’ll need some type of synthy oscillator. Here’s an interesting looking thing:

Also, one thing I’ve experimented with is a sharp square-wave tremolo into my Noise Box, that’s a fun duo.
Good luck!
fantomenosMemberAh, I was confused by this in the instructions:
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules.
So can folks with more delay experience fill me in on what a 65ms delay sounds like? Can this function as a slap-back? Or just a thickener?
Glad to hear it’s great for bass, I’m psyched!
fantomenosMemberWait, so the analogizer is digital? A digital solution to digital problems?
Nevertheless, still interested.
fantomenosMemberSounds great! Love the bass tone!
What’s the Orange amp/cab combo? Terror Bass?
fantomenosMemberWell, I personally don’t have a click track, drum machine, or a looper.
A foot, though? I got 2 a those!
fantomenosMemberDude, I have been waiting for that pedal for years. I know it will happen right after I buy a more expensive, less full-featured, tap-tempo tremelo from a different company.
fantomenosMemberThe Concert Slave is just a one-knob power amp, expecting a line-level input.
It’s from ’76, back in the days before PAs were common, so bass players would buy one “Concert Bass” amp, and then chain as many “Concert Slave” amps as they needed.
fantomenosMemberI’m not sure if this will be germane to your situation, but I’ve had a lot of success using the Hot Tubes as a bass pre-amp.
Feeding it straight to a Sunn Concert Slave, my settings are (in clock-face terminology):
Master: 2
Gain: 9
Drive: 7 (basically off)
Bass: 2
Treble: 10This gives me a nice, warm sound that is very touch sensitive. If I switch to just neck pickup, I get a fairly clean, round sound, and with bridge pickup I get a nice break-up.
Hope that helps!
fantomenosMemberThanks for posting, I love that guy. Now to go check out Sweet Apple…
fantomenosMemberGot one coming this week from Amazon! Psyched!
fantomenosMemberThe splitter will certainly give you the 8 ohm load, so it will be safe, and get the most out of the 44 magnum.
Whether it will be loud enough? It’ll probably be louder than what you’ve got, but you’ll have to try it and see…
fantomenosMemberSounds like quite a deal!
What tubes did it come with, and what are you thinking about swapping in?
July 24, 2011 at 8:00 pm in reply to: what device to use to feed the next pedals all at the same time? #105895fantomenosMemberThe OneSpot is pretty amazing, and affordable.
I was using it yesterday to power a Micro-POG, Sansamp VT Bass Deluxe, Boss TU-2, nano Small Stone, Digitech Digidelay and Guyatone Micro-Bottom-Rocker.
Worked like a charm, seems like most brands are coming together with the 9-volt neg-tip standard.
fantomenosMemberWhen I went trem shopping I did a mini-shootout at the store with EHX Pulsar, Marshall vibe, and Voodoo Labs.
Voodoo Labs was the clear winner, and won’t break the bank.
That said, I was looking for a classic “soft” tremelo. It’ll do choppy, but it’s really not geared for noise-makers.
Hope that helps!
fantomenosMemberYeah, you can’t drive a cab, but you can drive a power (or slave) amp that doesn’t have a pre-amp. Essentially, the Muff’n will act as a pre-amp. This is what I do with my Hot Tubes and Sunn Concert Slave.
The good news is, power amps can be had way cheaper than “complete” amps.
You could also use a powered cab, like PA systems use.
