I have a micro synth that I am using for violin. I haven’t gotten it found like a sax. Actually I haven’t gotten it to sound like much of anything except garbage on violin. I’ve also been using it on my electric guitar and it sounds AMAZING on that instrument. Therefore, I’m certain the pedal is working correctly.
When I work on my sounds I put everything through a looper so I can really hear what is going through the amp minus the sound of the violin right in my ear. It’s very helpful to sound sculpt this way on violin.
When you play the microsynth Argo (with a bow) a lot of the time the notes you’re playing just completely cut out.
If you play Pitzecato there isn’t enough sustain on the strings to produce much of a sound. In this case it just kind of makes flumping autowahish noises, which are kind of cool. However, the sounds I’m able to pull out of the micro synth are fairly limited compared to what I get out of the guitar.
I haven’t had the courage to take the back plate off and adjust the gain control yet as described in the user manual, but hopefully that makes a difference once I do.
Otherwise I guess I’m going to try and sell it on EBay or Reverb.com because I don’t gig on guitar enough to justify the amount of space it’s taking up on my pedal board, and it’s too expensive a piece of gear not to use it.
