Hi Owen cheers for the replies. I only intend replacing the right hand valve with the 12ax7 and leaving the other in place, but if it sounds crappy i’ll put the original back. I will try my MI Audio pedal in front of it to see if i can fatten it up. The trouble with having to keep the eq settings so low is that it limits the pedal a little. Cheers.
Thanks Owen, i’ve been messing around with the eq settings. The one thing i’m hoping when i swap the 12ay7 for a 12ax7 is a warmer sound. The one fault with my pedal is the treble, it can be unbearable at times.
