As far as MIDI goes, their functionality is similar. The 95000 adds MIDI Clock CX mode where it does not require a MIDI START command to properly follow MIDI Clock. So essentially in EXT. CLOCK CX mode the 95000 works as in the same as it does when using its internal tempo, just that it uses the tempo received at the MIDI IN port. Remember to enable Quantize on mode on either of the loopers when syncing to external MIDI Clock.

You can use generic MIDI Foot Controllers to control the 95000 but people do like how well the 45000’s remote integrates with the main unit.

Based on your needs, really the one thing you’re not getting with the 45000 is undo/redo and easy erases with your foot.

Thank you for these specific details! No chance that the firmware of the 45000 integrates an Undo? (I do not think it’s necessary for me if I strengthen my loopman skills, but that would be the ultimate update!
I have the luxury of being able to compare the two since a friend lends me a 45000 and I already have 95000 since yesterday ;-).
My heart leans rather for the 45000 with regard to its intuitive side.
I start exploring the machines and also its characteristics midi, I think I had the looper on the table and a little switch to the foot suits me better, the main thing for me is to be able to select the loops foot and manage the faders by hand and synchronize the pedal on the rhythm of my DAW.
Thanks again for these tips !!!

Hi everyone ! I am new on the forum and I join this discussion “resolute”, it works really well with Ableton? I am saxophonist and I need to play loops over my live sets. will the 95000 not be more suitable? (Undo is there a cruel lack on the 45000?).
I need to know that by buying this 45000 I am sure to work with ABleton. Thank you for the answers you will bring me
