I wonder if something like that might do the job?
Thanks for the replies guys.
The DI box there is unbalanced on the XLR input and I’d need XLR balanced for the Dyn-G, but beyond that, the O/P is only XLR which kinda defeats the purpose of the exercise methinks- getting the Wiggler inline between Pickup and amp.
I’m gonna hunt around for my impedance transformer and see what that does first and then try the DI o/p on the amp itself… time for some creative – and messy – cabling.
Cheers, 2k
good luck, there’s usually a way around this type of thing, it’s just figuring it out in the first place isn’t it?

I had to choose between Stereo and Deluxe, and I took the Stereo Electric Mistress. I love the combination of flanger and chorus! Normally I prefer analogue pedals, but in this case I made an exception. It sounds magic.yeah, they both sound good, I like the SEM too.. nothing wrong with digital effects at all.

I know theres two versions: one is promoted as a flanger AND chorus and the other is a flanger by itself.any big difference in tone between them?
yeah… the stereo electric mistress is digital and the deluxe electric mistress is analogue, they do similar things but sound quite different… totally different circuits.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:Did you say you cant use the adapter because it has a us plug? I bet thats your answer.Go to your electronics store and buy the exact adapter but for EU use.Make sure the tip / ring are right and you have more than enough millivolts.I think he’s saying he used a US/EU converter, which should work fine.. unless it was just a plug converter and not a power converter then he’s just blasted 230v into a power supply expecting 110v.
electro-melxModeratorIt’s almost impossible for us to know if it’s ‘broken or not’ or if it’s something small or something major… it could be anything, have you tried it with different cables, do you get a clean signal when you engage the effect or nothing at all? what ‘adapter’ are you using, is it converting the voltage too? does the adapter work with another pedal?
if you can eliminate every other part of the signal and power chain then you’ll know it’s the pedal itself.
…in which case you’ll have to contact ehx and arrange a return, they have a european repair centre, but next time buy it from a european dealer, you’ll get the correct power supply… with the Euro being as weak as it is right now I can’t imagine you saved much buying from the US and you could have saved yourself a lot of hassle.
November 6, 2010 at 10:27 pm in reply to: What Electro-Harmonix pedals are worth checking out right away? #112434electro-melxModerator….and adding to that, the classic Small Stone and Small Clone are brilliant sounding simple modulation pedals (if bells and whistles aren’t your thing) … and everyone should try a Big Muff regardless.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:boss tried this with the super feedbacker and distortion and it wasn’t that successful
you can pick up those pedals for $60 on a good dayI think that’s what the Boss GT-6 is modelling.
I’d just use a freeze to sustain real feedback as I played over it.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:I did get an answer from them. They want me to ship it in to their repair facility and they’ll fix it and send it back. I think this is unacceptable….they should send me a new pedal and I’ll send them the old one. No reason why after spending $300 I should be without my pedal for god knows how long until they fix it. I guarantee you I WILL NOT be buying anymore EHX pedals.I’m sorry but in my experience no company would do that, my son’s Nintendo DS, started playing up after he’d had it for about 6 months, I had to send it back to Nintendo UK for repair and it was returned to me in a couple of weeks, that’s what happens under warranty, the company may decide to replace the item if it’s not repairable easily, but it shouldn’t be expected.
electro-melxModerator£287 ….. $466 (us) ….. €327 ….
electro-melxModeratorQuote:A lot of them were built with the LED just showing power status. It’s not an on/off indicator.yup, my Q-tron plus was the same… it’s not a fault.
electro-melxModerator…also I’m kind of curious what people do when they buy faulty goods by other manufacturer?
Maybe I’m out of touch, but if I buy a fender guitar and the electrics go wrong in a few weeks I wouldn’t think of going on the Fender forum and expecting Fender to deal with my problem on there. .. Maybe they would but it isn’t the course of action I would usually take. I hope that isn’t take the wrong way, but like I say I’m curious because we do a get a lot of the same thing here. Is that what happens on other companies forums?
electro-melxModeratorQuote:What about a “Complaint Thread”?sounds like a good idea, but again… unfortunately volunteer admin don’t have access to those features, so we can’t do it. All we can do is remove posts and edit content (that’s been posted) basically we are here to just keep the forum happy and rubbish free for the members.. So it’s something you need to take up with EHX. So it’s no good posting about it here really….
I’d probably recommend a ‘customer support’ section where EHX staff can answer all your questions and deal with your problems, because not everything is a complaint, but obviously they are much better equipped to answer questions on their products than we are, a lot of us don’t even own any of the newly released pedals yet and I’m always wary about telling people to try and fix products themselves that are still in warranty.
It’s different with the old stuff, but tiny components and digital electronics is not something to be messing around with unless you know exactly what you are doing. So asking about things like that here is a bit pointless. There usually nothing anyone can do, the only course of action is to arrange to return the item to ehx or take it back to where bought it and tell them to deal with it.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:ANY CHANCE someone could make a new tab at the top of the EHX homepage that says SUPPORT!!!!!!AND put that little tid-bit of info (the link posted above) in there.
I’m trying to get it stickied at the top of this section of the forum right now, but I have the same amount of contact with EHX as you do.
