electro-melxModeratorQuote:Hey – who would have thought I’d still be here playing 40 years later!!!
once a guitar player, always a guitar player!!! : )
electro-melxModeratorQuote:Well, I guess this is my single best qualification to become an Admin on this site – I bought an LPB1 the year it came out. I LOVED my LPB1 and it was the first accessory I ever bought. Wish I still had it! It was all I used between a Les Paul and BF Super Reverb (cranked, of course). Absolutely amazing tone!Congrats to EHX on the anniversary. Happy to say I was there!!
that’s great! who would have thought back then that they would still be selling the LPB-1 in 2008! : )
electro-melxModeratorlol, thanks….the video clip was great!!
not what I was expecting, but a cool thing to own.
I was expecting a Phaser effect that you plugged into a guitar and wore around you neck!!! (I know that sounds crazy, but this is EHX after all!!)
electro-melxModeratorQuote:Quote:My first official post at the official EHX forum!w00t !!!
I had to leave quite a bit out – not enough board space or outlets – but this is the all EHX pedalboard I’m playing with now.
Thanks, Scott, for inviting me to take part in this historic occasion. EHX forever!
BOARD]Holy mother of god….You sir, are my hero
lol, he’s a seriously good musician/vocalist too.
…and F&EHX;, good to see you here. It wouldn’t be the same without you.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:I use mine this way from time to time, but the filter is so great that it feels like a waste not to employ it. You don’t get the same amount of tone control as a Hot Tubes due to there only being a frequency knob with resonance control, and with the resonance down, the tone control is extremely slight; you can, of course, also turn up the resonance to get the half-cocked wah type tone in the demo. This works out perfectly because it allows you to get a frequency response as wide or narrow as you wish.
There’s way more gain onboard than I would ever use, and it can get a little spitty at higher input gain settings, but with the input gain set to a moderate level, it’s a great sounding overdrive/distortion that’s a nice change of pace from time to time. Also, it reacts extremely well to DI recording, which is more than I can say for any Tube Screamer I’ve ever played.Hope it helps!
yeah, thanks…that’s really helpfull.
I record direct into my tascam digital 8-track so I could use it for that too…I just didn’t want to pay the price for one and never really use it, I think I’ll have to look into one of these a little more seriously.
electro-melxModeratorcheers F&EHX;, that will be handy.

I think i remember it on the old website, but can’t remember what it was or whether it was solid state or tube.yes there was……it was cute, but I never saw one for sale in a shop, maybe they weren’t available outside of the US?

I heard a rumour that a wah might not be too far off. : )
and yeah….a tuner is an obvious addition to the XO line-up. That really needs to be made.
I’m sure the White finger will end up in an xo box, the worm and ‘freq an’ have just moved over so I can’t see why the white finger wouldn’t follow also….it’s a logical progression.
The only reason I could see for not moving the White Finger over is because of the over smaller compressors. We’ve already got the Soul Preacher in a nano size, and although its a totally different pedal, do you think they’d create an XO White Finger? I guess the XO White Finger, if put on an XO chasis, would still be a bit more tweakable
maybe they will do a whitefinger plus, with some extra switches or something? kind of like when they xo’d the grail…
Oh yeah, that’d be cool. If they took it into a SMMH/Qtron+ size chasis. I always forget those XO pedals exist, I always tend to think of the smaller XO sizes, typically 3 knobs.
yeah exactly, a SMM/H sized compressor….that could be quite a compressor, with many options to tweek.

electro-melxModeratorQuote:Quote:did you try it on guitar at all? I’d be interested to hear what it was like…especially the OD setting.I think I may have fooled around with it once or twice, but I don’t remember much, which means it probably didn’t blow me away. Sorry.
no, problem…..I was just curious because you said the fuzz sounded like a muff, if it sounded like a muff on guitar it would be like having a muff, with an extra OD setting too.

I think there should be some kind of octave-fuzz pedal – i don’t have much of an imagination at the moment though
well if the wah rumours are true it can only be a matter of time before a fuzz/wah comes out, here’s hoping, that would be a nice addition.

electro-melxModeratoryeah, that’s down to the peeps in charge…if it’s a no go, then it would still be possible to post gut shots to show where wires go and things so all would not be lost.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:http://www3.sympatico.ca/sebtenshi/guitar/resize/Very old[this was about half the pedals i had at that point], i will take a ehx only picture soon. There’s quite a few additions to be made to those.
On the favourite’s it has to be my vintage 16 second delay. Something i will never get again, and it came after a very odd time in my life.
you have some nice stuff there…..those vintage 16sec delays are pretty valuable now?
