electro-melxModeratorQuote:Para mi….
double muff concept makes no sense unless there are 2 footswitches. Bassy one for rythm, then kick on the trebly one for leads (with the bassy 1 still active for xtra gain)
Amirite, folks?
I expect they are saving all that for the deluxe XO version.
electro-melxModeratorIt’s not going to be easy … you need to find a way of bypassing the pedal without bypassing the output of the effect so the repeats continue, I don’t think it would be possible without added electronics, using some kind of internal buffer switching system. Not a job for an amateur I suspect… I’d be very interested to see how it could be done though.
electro-melxModeratorNope, never seen one like that before, but EHX did make a lot of pedals with different paint colours and combinations… I’d enjoy the fact I had one that was a little different. Nice find.
electro-melxModeratordoes it have the standard 1/8″ mini jack socket? … if that’s the case you can probably use a one spot adapter. Or does it use something else?

Not all pedals like being daisy chained though, so it might not be ideal. There are a few owners of the 16sdd around here though, so I’m sure more help will be along soon.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:Thanks for the replies guys.Yes the converter you mention is the same one I bought. I bought the pedal off ebay and have never actually seen it work.
Im inclined now to think it could be a problem with the pedal itself. Will have a look around for someone to fix. Thanks again for the reply
it could be something simple like a damaged cable, but I would get someone to check it over because it could be dangerous if it’s tripping your mains out.

this guy here is in the UK and very reasonable, he might be able to help you out.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:Your house supplies 240v? and how does the electricity ‘trip’¿yup, 240v mains here in the UK (and Europe, well it’s actually nearer 230v these days because of European standards, but anyway…) when he says ‘trips’ he means at the fuse box the mains power on/off switch turns itself to off (as a safety measure)
I use a simple cheap plug in adapter/converter with the same ratings and never had this problem, the only thing I can suggest is that either the converter is faulty or something in the pedal isn’t right.. when you say you bought it in the US did you try it out over there or buy it on ebay? I was just wondering if you knew for a fact that there was nothing wrong with the pedal.
mine looks like this thing here
and it’s been fine with the couple of US pedals I have.
electro-melxModeratorQuote:I’ve never heard of one. Though I’m new here so what do I know!?!?!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkQsqinUwmI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in6bHuZo964here’s a couple of the original Peter Stroud EHX demo videos, it was a very cool pedal with elements of some of the pedals ehx make now like the 2880 looper, SMM Hazari, etc.
electro-melxModeratoryou might find this youtube video helpful…

… comparing a nano, RI and russian. At the start of the video the speeds are set to a slow rate.
I’ve had them all (but not at the same time) and they all sounded good to me, I’d be happy with any of them.
electro-melxModeratorlike a lot of EHX pedals I suspect the earlier ones aren’t but the later ones are (although that’s just a guess based on other ehx I’ve owned)… it’s impossible to tell without taking them apart and having a look.

When I removed the footswitch to re-solder the lead, it was obvious. The number of times I tried to see where it came from… Anyway, all sorted now, cheers.great stuff, glad to help. :rawk:
electro-melxModeratorQuote:Well guys, i have to say thanks to electro-melx for sharing his honest opinion which is actually my perception of the advertisement. Anyway let me be clear i’m not fishing for refund or something neither i want to be picky or flaming, i just want to provide you honest feedback on the product which essential for any company. I enjoy ehx products very much so in a sense i’m disappointed when i see some products that are not pushing to seventh heaven like the others…as i said headphone amp is nice well built and perfect to use but i feel unhappy about being limited to use it on clean signals only.Go for a stereo input, simple cabinet emulator headphone amp and you will smash the market of these product category, honestly.
Have a nice day everybody!
it’s all good, we all love EHX but we also know they ain’t perfect either! I’m sure we’ve all had a few disappointments over the years, that will be the case with any line of products. …. and we do appreciate the honest feedback.
…generally people discuss things on here like adults, so don’t be afraid to speak up if you don’t agree with something.

I wish I’d been able to keep better track of the case changes.Yeah, I don’t remember when they switched to the smaller type either, you didn’t see enough around in the UK really to have any idea. I didn’t even realise they had changed until I saw one of the last russian muff in a shop and thought “I could have sworn they were bigger than that!”

When did you get another Small Stone?
You can never have too many. I have 4 or 5 vintage units and 4 or 5 Sovteks.
haha, it’s my fourth, but the only one I own right now.
Do you know how old this versions is Ron? it’s like the last ones but in the old six screw case… early 2000’s or late 90’s or something? I was amazed how heavy the bottom part of the case is, much thicker than the USA pedals.

right the other wire off the LED goes to the footswitch, looking at the second picture you posted it’s the top left lug.
so like this
1 2 3
