ehxguy11MemberQuote:Hello there.
I bought a NEO Clone to use it with my basses. I love how it sounds, but it makes this very loud POP sound when I turn it on. Any thoughts about what could be going on here?
I have the Clone with other 4 pedals in this order:
Bass > Boss TU2 tuner > EHX Neo Clone > EHX BassBalls > Sansamp BDDI Programmable > Demeter Compulator > Amp.Al pedals are powered with a 1Spot.
Thanx a lot.
It’s the true bypass switching that is causing the pop. There is not much you can really do to fix it.
ehxguy11MemberI would love to see a XO Polychorus, XO IC Big Muff Pi and a XO 16 Second Delay.
ehxguy11MemberI’m no expert but I have read about grounding problems with this pedal. What version is it? Supposedly the first version wasn’t grounded.

ehxguy11MemberTry running it on batteries or a different source.
ehxguy11MemberAre you using a power supply or a battery?
ehxguy11MemberThose muffs had interesting knob positioning so that is normal, but as stated they are replaced.

After I buy a Boss DD-3 (I already have a Deluxe Memory Man) those two will be the next on my list. One review said that the Neo Clone had a clipping problem. Has any one that tried it had the same result?
ehxguy11MemberI never really noticed a huge volume problem with the new Deluxe Electric Mistress RI (definitely not as bad as the Small Stone). The only thing that bugged me at first was the ground noise but with a decent gate after it you can cut that out, mainly for recording purposes. I think they sound great.
ehxguy11MemberYeah, that would be interesting. For what it’s worth I played a Op-Amp version and it sounded way different. I honestly preferred the new big NYC RI. Although I do wonder if the Op-Amp would of shined better with a distorted amp as the RI’s to my ears only sound good when they are run through a clean signal.
ehxguy11MemberHave you seen this?

(It’s not mine but I have watched that video many times)
ehxguy11MemberSome cool stuff in here. I don’t have a picture but my pedals are in my sig.

Boss is buffered and the Crybaby isn’t true bypass. You can check by just looking to see if the switch is blue.

Why not release a big box Electric Mistress with modern features? Don’t get me wrong I understand why a Nano line is important but how about us that have been using these pedals for years and want the traditional sound and size? I am starting to think EHX is going to start releasing iPAD Apps… ;(
