OK, I A/B’ed the Big Muff Pi and the Little Big Muff Pi before I shipped off the Big Muff Pi that I sold. I found that the Big Muff Pi sounds a little more loose and has “sag” compared to the little one. The Little Big Muff Pi to my ears sounded a little tighter. I really like the Little Big Muff Pi and think it is a little more moderate fuzz compared to the Big Muff Pi. .02

I have a Big Muff Pi but I’m selling it. The Big Muff Pi is just too big for my small pedal bag and the output input jacks don’t fit in my board well. The Little Big Muff I just ordered due to size and having input jacks on the sides versus the top. The Tone Wicker I would have gotten if I had the money but I really just wanted a smaller Big Muff so that is why I got the Little Big Muff Pi. The components, if I remember are just micro sized in the Little Big Muff Pi compared to the Big Muff Pi. I wont be able to compare sound until I get the Little Big Muff Pi to compare. One thing is for sure, the Big Muff Pi With Tone Wicker would have a couple more tonal options. For the classic Big Muff Pi sound I think the Little Big Muff Pi would do!

Just like I thought… The Neo-Clone is a real winner! I love the sound of it, dare I say, more than my Small Clone RI. Slightly less-de-tuning and more like a vintage Small Clone sound to my ears. I’m so impressed that I’m selling both my Small Clone and Big Muff Pi and buying a Big Muff Pi w/ Tone Wicker.

I wouldn’t go messing around with the trim-pots, you can break it pretty easily if you don’t know what you are doing.

I had the same issue. I actually had true bypass installed and it still had the strange high frequency. I think that it has something to do with the power supply. I ended up selling it because I couldn’t deal with the noise. I hope EHX fix it and release a XO version.

I finally got around to ordering a Neo Clone. If everything goes well I’m going to buy the Little BM as well then put my Small Clone and Big Big Muff on the bay.

I almost posted this. I really hope it is some analog multi effects unit. Hollier Stain or such.

Neither, distortion free sustainer. ;) Honestly, distortion, fuzz, sustainer etc. what ever it is it kicks @$$.

I had a similar problem with my Octave Multiplexer. I wound up changing it’s position in the chain, and I’m not getting a pop any more. Did you try changing the order maybe? It can change the sound a little too, so I guess take that into consideration.

Random reply but I noticed your avatar. That was my first good guitar I got… 10 years ago. Cool guitar, I don’t see them much anymore.

I have a small clone and it does the same thing.

When you turn all your gear on, zero the amp’s volume and switch on-off several times your tru bypass pedals.

I found that doing this helps a little bit because it discharges some capacitors… (I guess that’s what happens… I’m not very electronically inclined).

Are you please able to this and tell us please if it DOES truly help or if it is just my imagination.

Or maybe it’s just the voices in my head toying with me!

    Cheers.

I noticed that helped a bit but it’s not good practice as you are going to wear down the foot switch.

I have a Big Muff Pi which I bought in 2009. Having the REV C board I assume that is a ’08-’09.

The Small Clone I own, I’m unsure of the models or revisions. I bought it new around ’05 I think but I’m not sure.

From what I have read the rate knob varies depending on the tempo (faster=more rate). The depth switch supposedly was hardwired “up”.
