The only markings on the pot in the Nano Clone are “1M C”.

The pot appears to be a BI Technologies model P160KN2, 1Mohm, C = Reverse Audio taper:

    [page 4]

and appears to cost about $0.80!

Apparently New Sensor makes EHX tubes and effects:

but they don’t seem to supply the 16 mm PBC mountable version of the pot.

Nor does it look like Small Bear:

    has this particular pot either.

I have emailed New Sensor to see if they can supply the potentiometer.

The pedal also produces a fair amount of noise.

Someone at another forum said that they eliminated the noise by performing the following modification:

    Quote:
“Probably the easiest way to ground the circuit to the case is as follows:

Remove knobs, nuts on the input and output jacks, and nuts holding the pots.
Remove the circuit board and solder a jumper from the body of the volume pot
to the sleeve (ground) connection on the input jack.

When you reassemble the pedal, the body of the volume pot will be
mechanically (and electrically) connected to the case. The jumper you
installed will ground the circuit to the case.”

I performed this modification today, and the pedal still hisses, still clicks when you turn it on, and still has a volume drop when you turn it on (though the volume drop may be more due to the loss of treble that occurs when you turn the pedal on). Hence, this modification does not fix the pedal.

I have searched the internet all day, and cannot find any modifications that successfully fix the Nano Clone pedal.
