Did you write the techs?
EHX STAFFKeymasterThe HOG 1 and HOG 2 use different foot switches.
the HOG 1 has 6 switches, the HOG 2 switch has 2 switches.
You can only use the footswitch designed for the unit.Please write the techs at info@ehx.com

You can also try cleaning the pots and switches with a good contact cleaner like deoxit.
Use ONLY a contact cleaner like deoxit. It will often fix problems like you are having.

EHX STAFFKeymasterIt is a power amp not a preamp. NEVER plug it into anything but a speaker.
You could use a load box first but you would get better results with a preamp. -
