If it is guitar I am not sure how you are two octaves low at the top of the neck?
But the Pitchfork+ will take you where ever you want to go.

We are not familiar with the Matamp or its effects loop but it should work.
You may want to reach out to Matamp and ask them how their loop works with guitar pedal impedance.
Here are the specs for the Switchblade pro:

INPUT Jack – This 1⁄4” jack is the audio input of the SWITCHBLADE PRO. The input
impedance is 2.2MΩ. This input will accept any audio source that is instrument or line level
    up to 4.2Vp-p without clipping.

SEND A Jack – This 1⁄4” jack is an audio output of the SWITCHBLADE PRO. Connect this to
the input of the effect(s) you want in FX loop A or send it to the input of an amplifier. The
    output impedance is 220Ω.

RETURN A Jack – This 1⁄4” jack is an audio input of the SWITCHBLADE PRO. Connect this
jack to the output of the effect(s) you want in FX loop A. This jack can also accept another
instrument output. The input impedance is 90kΩ.

SEND B Jack – This 1⁄4” jack is an audio output of the SWITCHBLADE PRO. Connect this to
the input of the effect(s) you want in FX loop B or send it to the input of an amplifier. The
    output impedance is 220Ω.

RETURN B Jack – This 1⁄4” jack is an audio input of the SWITCHBLADE PRO. Connect this
jack to the output of the effect(s) you want in FX loop B. This jack can also accept another
instrument output. The input impedance is 90kΩ.

A LEVEL Knob – Controls the volume of signal going into the RETURN A jack. Unity gain is
achieved with the knob at 12:00. Turning this knob fully clockwise achieves a gain of 6dB.

DRY LEVEL Knob – Controls the volume of signal going into the INPUT jack. Unity gain is
achieved with the knob at 12:00. Turning this knob fully clockwise achieves a gain of 6dB.

B LEVEL Knob – Controls the volume of signal going into the RETURN B jack. Unity gain is
achieved with the knob at 12:00. Turning this knob fully clockwise achieves a gain of 6dB.

    Ken is this on Bass?
The best pedal would be the Pitch Fork+.
Wonderful pitch shifter for bass and guitar.
Just pitch it up to where it is easy to play. The Pitch pedal into the B9 would be great.

Analog delays have a very limited high frequency and why people like them.
But if things are changing, please write the techs. They can help you out.

The Mel9 is a mono effect, so you can only use one out of the piano to feed the Mel 9.
You would need two units for a true stereo feed.
Please keep in mind the Mel 9 is designed for guitar. Its range, amount of notes and conversion are tuned for the input of a guitar.
Keyboards will have a very limited success.

Chris, have you used it with this power supply in the past?
Some supplies ramp up slow and cause the pedals to stall and not start up.
With the supply on, try un plugging and re plugging in the synth 9 pedals power cord.
    It may start up.
If not, there may be another issue.

Check this out. It lets you set a exp pedal position in a switch format.
It could be pedal down for one switch and switched off it would be pedal back.

It sounds like you are not using an EHX power supply
Some 3rd party supplies when turned on ramp up their voltage very slow.
This causes the pedal to stall and not operate.

You can write the techs and see what they suggest.

If you have nothing from the main output with the threshold release and reduction at zero, then the pedal is defective.
First try different cables, power supply and the pedal by itself.
