Unfortunately no, the Mod 11 (and Canyon and Oceans 11) are always active by default.
EHX InfoMemberYou can route either the effected or dry signal to the XLR output. On the side of the Battalion next to the XLR jack there is a bypass button, if it’s pressed in then the same signal that’s routed out the main output jack goes to the XLR jack (so the effect signal if the pedal is active, dry if it’s in bypass). If that side bypass button is not pressed in then the XLR will always have the dry signal.
EHX InfoMemberThis is a feature that only units with newer software have. When you boot up the pedal, does it say “r2” or “r3” briefly, or does it go right to the last loaded preset without saying either of those? If it says r2 or r3, then master bypass is MIDI CC 120. If it doesn’t say r2 or r3, then the unit doesn’t have the ability to control master bypass over MIDI. The software update can by applied if you send the unit to us.
EHX InfoMemberHello, there is actually now a software update that greatly improves the performance and reliability of the MIDI clock in the Mod Rex, along with fixing/updating a handful of other aspects of the pedal. Unfortunately, the only way to apply the software update is to send the unit to us, but if you are interested in doing that, email info@ehx.com and say you want to send in your Mod Rex for a software update, and tell them to have it brought to Manny. Thanks!
EHX InfoMemberThe PC messages in the Mod Rex can be used to recall presets 1 through 100. So the data byte (values of 0-127) should just be the preset number (from 1-100) you want to recall.
EHX InfoMemberQuote:Yesterday it was completely ignoring MIDI Clock. Today it works sporadically when directly connected to the MC6, sometimes initially syncing but then sometimes ignoring any changes in the tempo. And still completely ignoring MIDI Clock if there are any other devices between them.Have you had a chance to test the Mod Rex with a different device being the master MIDI clock? Trying to see if there’s a problem with your Mod Rex’s MIDI Clock in general, or if there is some weird mis-match between it and that specific device (the MC6) that is leading to it not work right.
EHX InfoMemberHello, sorry for this issue. Are you finding the Mod Rex is completely ignoring MIDI Clock messages? Or is it acting strangely, such as weirdly resetting it’s LFOs upon sending it any MIDI Clock? Have you tried, as a test, sending MIDI Clock from some other source (such as a DAW) to the Mod Rex?
EHX InfoMemberEach knob boosts or cuts by about 11dB.
EHX InfoMemberIt sounds like something is wrong with the pedal early in its signal path. Please email info@ehx.com to get it repaired/replaced. Very sorry you’ve had this trouble.
