efe_gallagherMemberQuote:well you could split your signal prior to the LBM and make a simple mixer like this:
you don’t have to make all 3 inputs, just two.
Question Question!! I’ve finally got a friend o’mine to do this for me, but I’m a bit confused… Since I’ts a pasive mixer will I be able to use it backwards? I mean, using the output jack as the input for my bass and the Inputs as AMP outputs or d’I have to bi-apm?
Sorry if this is confusing, but I’m sorta sleepy…efe_gallagherMemberQuote:Quote:Quote:Use this diagram, make all the changes in green. This is a NYC muff with a green sovtek muff tonestack.

Hello, I own a Lil’ Big Muff and use it on my bass. I recently tried out the Bass Big Muff and before I had tried the Russian version. To be honest I really don’t like the was Russians sound on bass and since the Bass Big Muff is based on that one I didn’t buy it
So, I’m trying to mod my Lil’ BM to lat the clean signal go through mixed with the fuzz, but I can’t seem to find a diagram (Nor a way, for that matter) to do that.
Does anyone have any idea of what can I do to get that specific mod? A diagram or spoken word reply would be incredibly appreciatedYou cant do it, its just not that simple.
I mean its possible but considering you’re asking about it I would say its out of your depth. It requires the addition of a buffer(a whole other circuit) to the pedal, and the LBM is SMD and it will be very fiddly work even for someone that knows what they are doing.
Just buy the bass big muff.I don’t like the sound of it!! =S
I suppose the signal splitter they recomended up avobe is the way to go
Also, Ned: What is SMD? How can I create a buffer? I might not be able to put it inside the LBM, but I might as well make it externalefe_gallagherMemberQuote:thanks! all stuff to consider. how about the bass blogger, any thoughts on that?It sucks :S
At least to me. The Fuzz isn’t as good as any of the muffs out there and the Distorsion is way barely noticeable… but just like every pedal out there, you ought to try it our by yourselfefe_gallagherMemberQuote:dude the Bass Big Muff rocks, though the LBM is awesome on bass too!I’m not sure how you’d add a dry signal, it can’t be as simple as wiring the input and output together and adding a switch could it? (poke poke Ned)
Trust me, I tried doing so, but for some reason that just gives me a dry signal always (Turned on/off), that’s the reason I’m asking here, to the Masters of EHX
… NED?efe_gallagherMemberQuote:Use this diagram, make all the changes in green. This is a NYC muff with a green sovtek muff tonestack.

Of the new Little Big Muffs- there are two versions, I don’t know exactly when they switched- but the pictures usually show MK1. You’ve got MK2. Besides the knobs being switched, we don’t know if there is any difference.
Oh, I think I’ve got it now. I’m new to EHX, I met the brand like 5 months ago and started building up my pedalboard just a couple of months ago, so I really dunno if there is any differences among the reissues and the originals, but there always are
efe_gallagherMemberMaybe a Fender guitar with some Muff/Preacher built in or some Bass w/Metaphors
+2 Synthefe_gallagherMemberStill, on a cramped pedalboard having too many XO pedals (As I do) is sometimes a con
I love each and every effect, but it’d be troublesome for FX freaksefe_gallagherMemberA Bass Big Muff based on the US Muff, not the soviet.
Some of us preffer NYC far beyond the Russian :love:efe_gallagherMemberAgreed with MING, a whole glowing knob with a thick line so you mannage to see your seting without ducking to get a closer look :thumb:
efe_gallagherMemberOh, thanks for the info
I suppose mine is one of those vintage LBM, the knobs’ order is Volume/Tone/Sustain
I’ve seen in every picture of the site that the order is supposed to be Sustain/Tone/Volume… Or am I wrong?efe_gallagherMemberHas anyone actually tested it properly? On YouTube there are no good videos of the Blogger on action =S
I tried it once and seemed mediocre, please prove me wrong…December 22, 2008 at 8:18 am in reply to: “Another Night on the Town”… a Review of the Stereo Electric Mistress (on Bass) #89451efe_gallagherMemberI also bought an Stereo EM two weeks ago. I’d love the chorus to be a bit more present on my low end, but for the sort of usage I need a chorus for, it’s really nice. I’d like some tips for getting the Flanger/chorus more present into the mix without having to kick my Lil’ Big Muff in
efe_gallagherMemberQuote:Quote:My Opinion: It’s a very subtle flanger .I don’t have a problem dialing in an over-the-top flanging sound on mine? I should point out that I’m doing this with a regular guitar and not a bass.
Well, low-end user like us do get a much more subtle effect while playing with voice-affecting effects
efe_gallagherMemberQuote:I really love mine…I have an early one with backwards controls..I know they are supposed to sound the same as the MKII, but I think mine sounds better!!!!Backwards controls? Also, what’s an XO version?
