OK, i’m going to go by my guitar shop this week and try it with the exact power supply and if it doesn’t work i’ll set up a repair. thanks for the reply. i do really like this pedal and was bummed it wouldn’t power up
dudelarMemberok. i think i got it. i had to pry open the metal housing for the
orange piece a bit and then close it around it once it was in there.
it seems to be good. i noticed that when i power it on i can here
a ‘click’ inside and the overload led turns on for a second when it powers on.
i don’t have an amp to test it so i hope that’s normal. i never noticed
before because i wasn’t looking for problems. i think it’s ok.
i was worried that maybe the copper pieces weren’t contacting properly
or i damaged something. i’ll let you know. thanks for your helpdudelarMemberthis all make sense except for the fact that the orange piece seems too
big to fit into the metal housing that holds it in place. i see the little
slots where the metal clamps are supposed to go but i can’t get the orange
piece to fit no matter how i try it. is there a trick to it? also, i can see these copper
pieces being useless pretty soon. is there a place to get more in case i
damage them?dudelarMemberok. i got it apart. it seems that that wires to the power switch are disconnected somehow.
i’m having trouble reconnecting the orange plastic piece to the actual plastic power swtich
inside. there are two loose copper pieces that i’m assuming go in the top and bottom slots
on the black power switch. there’s a metal housing for the power switch that the orange
plastic piece should fit it but i can’t get it to fit.
any suggestions? -
