I have a Hog & I’ve never needed the Foot Controller but I’ve never needed to save patches. If you’re planning on using more than one patch live – it might not be a bad idea. It would take some time to set up different settings live.
dsl1Memberdsl1MemberI think the Hog & The Pog (various madols) will get your Violin to sound like an organ.
The Micro Synth “might” put you in Sax territory but you really should try one out before you buy.
dsl1MemberHi –
I just checked my Hog & didn’t find this problem.
The only time I could hear the dry signal was when the “dry output”
slider was not fully down. There also was no dry signal heard while
using the envelope (even w/ the “Original” volume slider full up.It sounds like your Hog isn’t working correctly

From the manual:
EXP. PEDAL Jack — Allows the musician to control any of the four available expression modes with an optional expression pedal or control voltage. The expression pedal should have a Tip-Ring-Sleeve plug attached to it. It is important that the expression pedal have the correct polarity. The tip of the plug must be connected to the wiper of the potentiometer inside the expression pedal. If you are not sure what type of expression pedal to use, try to purchase one with a polarity switch so that it will work with many different types of instruments. Some suggested Expression Pedals: M-Audio EX-P, Moog EP-2, Roland EV-5 or Boss FV-500L. You may also connect a control voltage to this jack. The Control Voltage range must be 0 V to 5 V.

dsl1MemberHello
I play harmonica through pedals all the time – lately I’ve been using a Riddle & a Big Muff :metal:
dsl1MemberGreat songs!
I really liked “That Was Weird” – can’t get it out of my head!!
dsl1MemberYes – I was confused.
Sorry
dsl1MemberI would recommend the Bass Big Muff: https://www.ehx.com/products/bass-big-muff-pi
I use it all the time w/ Bass – it’s beyond excellent :metal:
dsl1MemberHi,
When the pedal is first plugged in – switch it on & off 5 or 6 times.
It works for me with some True Bypass Pedals.
YMMV
dsl1MemberI live in Switzerland but I’m from Los Angeles
dsl1MemberThis is what you’ll need:
18V/500mA (center positive) 2.1mm Barrel.
