My Pro Jet is black, but yours looks great as well! I am also pleased with it, good guitar considering the price (and i am a Gretsch fan so i just HAD to have a Gretsch- but couldn’t afford anything else).

DreamhunterMemberThat’s very true, i was also thinking that similar models of DMM might sound slightly different. And indeed with the knobs being also placed differently it is hard to get them exactly the same, with the exception of the delay time which can be maxed out.
DreamhunterMemberI tried a big box DMM(reissue, around 2006 i guess) that a friend has vs. my new small box version. What i can tell you is that although they sound quite similar, they DO NOT sound the same. I tried to set the knobs as close as possible, and maxed out the delay time.
Mine seemed to have slightly longer delay time(longer time between the repeats, but just slightly more), and the repeats degraded less on the new box one. The big box one seemed to me to be a bit more quiet, had more degradation on the repeats (i know many people like that about analogue delays).
So they sound close, both sound good, but i can’t say they sound exactly the same at all, the difference can be heard.

I agree! A pedal with just that effect would be surely a best seller!

DreamhunterMemberI looked today inside my new DMM in XO box and it indeed has the MN 3008 chips. Does anyone know how this translates in sound? Are these chips inferior to the old ones? Or are they the same?
DreamhunterMemberI already own the new small version! Bought it second hand some months ago from a friend. I’m still wondering if the circuit/chip is exactly the same, i will have to compare it with a big box memory man that a friend has and see if the sound is the same!
