I really like my Sovtek Stone. It’s the last black one that was put out. It has a little bit of volume drop but not bad. For the price it’s hard to beat them imo. I would like to try the nano though as I’ve heard they solved the volume drop and sounds really good.

I’ve heard J Mascis does this with his Big Muffs.

my Rat collection pales into insignificance compared to J’s Big Muff collection…

What the hell is that those pictures aren’t very clear. Is it a loose wire? If not, then you’ll probably have to post a pic of the top of the board.

My new deluxe electric mistress does this the more I turn the rate up. Get the rate up til about 9 and it’s tick, tick, tick…I figured it was just normal.

Remove the knobs and nuts from the front of the pedal. After that you can lift the board out but do it gently so you don’t break the wires. You can then lift the pot up and read the back of it. Check them all if you can and go by the latest date.

Thanks alot bro! I’ll let ya know and post some pics when I get a chance. I tried removing the knobs the other day though and couldn’t get two of them off! Kinda scared I might break something.

I’m pretty weary about taking this thing apart to take pics of the insides and all. Is there any tips or warnings you guys can give me before I do it? I’d imagine I’d need to take pics of both sides of the board?

Thanks for the reply. Does anyone know if the led on this newer units are supposed to stay lit even when bypassed? Mine stays on even when the pedal is off….

Could I not sell and ship to a european lol?

of course, I would definatly recommend adding The UK, EU, Japan and Austrailia to your shipping options on ebay.

The only problem we have is the voltage difference, but a collector probably wouldn’t worry too much.

just make sure you check all the shipping prices before you list it, add the shipping options to the listing in the correct way and automatically block bidders from countries you won’t post to (like nigeria!)

Thanks for your help bro. I’ve never actually sold anything on ebay, I’ve put things up but they never sold, so I’ll have to figure out how to do all that.

On the other hand, do you know of any kind of solution I could use to clean this thing up a bit. It just had a little grime buildup, dust, and some small corrosion/rust spots on it. I don’t want to just use anything cause I don’t want to harm it. Can smaller rust spots even be removed? Thanks in advance bro.
