DiscoFreqParticipant
I wish it was still there, I’m going to NY in June
DiscoFreqParticipantHe would be a good character for a comic: some eccentric professor
I’m really curious to see more about that science hall, didn’t you have pictures of it Ron?
I’m also very interested in trade show pictures, also for other guitar effect booths at 70’s NAMM shows
DiscoFreqParticipantGreat
You should post much more old EH pictures Scott!
The factory, that science hall thing?,…
I just received some old EH papers last week: one is about a visit to the factory by Rolling Stone magazine.
DiscoFreqParticipantQuote:Not Memory Boy related – but Big Foot reminded me of this early Flanger Hoax design concept:…and yes Scott, the illustration was based on Mike
Wow, that’s great documentation
Where did you find that? I need sources like that
DiscoFreqParticipantQuote:Not!
That is why I said small XO instead of XO. If I had to guess maybe the only difference will be it runs on 9 volts.Ah, ok, but only a small difference in size would not be enough to create a new model
4 knobs + 2 toggles…
The toggles could be:
right toggle (3 positions):
* delay/chorus/vibrato
* delay time range
* …left toggle (2 positions?):
* trails on/off
* direct on/off
* filter on/off (on each repeat)
* modulation on/off
* delay time range
* …DiscoFreqParticipantQuote:Let the disappointment set for those thinking it will be anything other then a small XO DMM.Wrong, because that already exists:
http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/eh/xo/memoryman/deluxe (already for sale in Europe for a few months)DiscoFreqParticipantHe even has pictures of the EXE pedals I was not allowed to photograph
Once again I didn’t take a lot of pictures of other things than pedals, only a few analog synths
(there’s so much I never know what would be most interesting )My pedal pictures are all online now:
http://filters.muziq.be/news/namm/2009/winterI still have to add some pictures of people I saw there (Mr. Huge, Rob Keeler,…), but I have to change some code so I can add pictures on the category (brand) level.
There are already some pictures of Gary Hurst (the original tonebender designer/builder) on the Burns Buzzaround and Tonebender reissue pages (linked from the URL above).DiscoFreqParticipantHere’s the loooooooooooooooooong list of new pedals, the pictures will follow tomorrow, too tired now
http://filters.muziq.be/news/messe/2009DiscoFreqParticipantI’m going
DiscoFreqParticipantQuote:Hi everybody! I recently bought a Queen Triggered wah for 500 swedish kronor which is like 60 USD. Everything seems to be working…Wow, that’s a great deal! I’ve been looking for an affordable one for a long time…
DiscoFreqParticipantI was bidding too and prepared to bid more than $200, but this is crazy
DiscoFreqParticipantAlso made by Aul Instruments then?
Maybe Mike knows a little more about these if he ordered these for Guild before he made the Axis Fuzz?
Scott, can you ask him if he remembers anything about that company (what they did, where,…)?
March 19, 2009 at 8:50 am in reply to: HOLY GRAIL BOUGHT FROM USA – POWER SUPPLY INFO FOR AUSTRALIA NEEDED! #94659DiscoFreqParticipantOf course the power supply blew if you only used a socket convertor: US = 110v, Australia = 220-240v (as in Europe). You should be more careful with this, it’s dangerous to do this with any electrical appliance.
You need an AC adapter for 220-240v (to 9V DC/500 mA), but read the instructions here:
https://www.ehx.com/products/holy-grail/instructionsWhen you buy/use adaptors, always look at:
1. Voltage (input & output)
2. Polarity of the output plug (even with the same power socket they could be different)
3. Current (mA) (usually not a problem if 1 & 2 are correct)DiscoFreqParticipantIt’s not my setup or track, I just found that link
(I think it was on the Matrixsynth blog)
