and: yep, one of the first 5 production pedals did have printing on the side…
(dunno `bout the current ones…)
oh, yes, and it did come in a russian pinewood slidetopbox!
Interesting! So you don’t remember any being screened ‘tube maze’ either? Plot thickens!
When I was at EHX, my guide (forgot his name ) showed me a silk screen with “Tube Maze” I don’t think there was “Tube Zipper” on it, it was stored on a shelf under the name Tube Maze as well.
When he noticed what it was he put it away and said something like “you’re probably not supposed to see this”, because he thought it could be something new (so I couldn’t take a picture), while he just wanted to show an example of one of those screens.
Maybe the Zipper was called Tube Maze before it was called Zipper and still had “Tube Maze” as a subtitle after the name changed?
Can one of the EHX employees here (Fuzz, Scott,…?) have a look at that silk screen? It was in the room with all the screens: shelves on the right, then on the right side of the bottom shelf.
ps: dron.de talks about the vocoder, mentioning auto ‘pause stuffing’ – wtf?!?
I didn’t have the time to play a lot with it, so I don’t know if the EH Vocoder has this, but in general this could mean that the synth sound comes through when there’s no voice. Normally there would be no sound at all when there’s a pause in the voice signal.
I’m curious as to what kind of messed up effects I can get with a square wave analog delay
I would expect a kind of 2-tone arpeggio effect: 1 above the input signal and 1 below: at one side of the wave it plays back what was recorded faster than it was recorded in the other position, at the other side it plays it back slower.
Maybe (depending on the depth?) it’s possible the correct pitch comes through as well at the beginning of each position (pieces played at the same speed they were recorded)?
That seems to be normal, but it would be back to normal faster if I had more links to my new URL (instead of the old one), so anyone who has links to my site, please update them! Anyone who doesn’t have links to my site, please create some! :p
Yes, the original idea was to make a few small music-related sites under that muziq.be domain, but this one became too big and I never started any other sites
The images can’t be shown here because of the spaces in the URL. I tried to replace them by %-20 (without “-“), but that doesn’t work either as they’re replaced by spaces again.
nope didn’t get it. SO MAD!!! it was sold to someone else. dammit.
Not surprised at that price. I have one of the IC versions and it’s great. It is a full size BMP board with the tone fixed — there’s a resistor soldered across the tone pot pads. Mine’s the 1322 board.
Discofreq, if you want pics of mine I’ll get em to you.
I don’t have any good gut shots yet, so if you can make some of those that would be great
