Sorry if this isn’t your concern anymore but the nano muff sounds like the current nyc muff. It is not only said to be faithful to the sound but I have tried it out for myself to see if there were any really differences.

Deftoned18MemberI am sorry but to clarify are you talking about the small stone in nano form? Because you mentioned neo stone which confused me since neo clone is a chorus while small stone is a different pedal
Deftoned18MemberI assume it would it not cost any real damage as far as keeping the same sound. I checked a video where it had side by side by side comparison with the Russian v3, the next generation of small stone (the version that looks like the original small clone) and the current nano form and it seemed to replicate the original pretty well. If I remember correctly, both are 4 stage phasers while the bad stone is 6 stage. Plus the small stone says on its page here on EHX that it is analog so what could you really be sacrificing? That is what I know as of now. If you are ever unsure, test one out where they have it near by and/or call EHX themselves to clarify anything. Whether they are biased or not it does not hurt to get a second or maybe a few more opinions on this scenario.
Cheers
Deftoned18MemberFor sure dude. Always good to use isolated power as well.

With the Fractal will sound great with SS power as the tube emulation is AMAZING, the back up for my Fractal will either be a Boss GT-Pro or a Line 6 Pod X3. I have had an EHX Black Finger for several years that I never use, I am wondering if I can use it in-line between the Boss or Pod and SS poweramp to help with a little bit of tube feel in that rig? The Fractal won’t need such but the Boss and Line 6 will i fear. Any tips on settings would be VERY appreciated.I would agree with whoever replied first stating that the Black Finger will have a good tone, getting a bit of tube saturation while at the same time does not replace having a tube amp. You would just have to mess with the Black Finger in order to see if you really like how it works. If you want more of a pre amp sound rather than a compressor I would suggest the English Muff’n since it is still a pedal that has pre amp tubes. I have seen a couple scenarios like this form buddies and I tell them about pre amps and tube pedals

Deftoned18MemberQuote:Wierd question but why is there two enclosure designs on the case? Bass version/Guitar version? Also, is JHS going to be pissed about releasing a very similar product with the EXACT same name on the EXACT same day? Awkward!
JHS should not be pissed because EHX is the og company haha. As cool as JHS pedals are, they are just recreating sounds that has been done by older companies. For example, their 6 way fuzz pedal!
Deftoned18MemberIf your pedal does not come with a power supply chances are you are not going to hurt your pedal using standard 9V for power(that’s if you bought it new). Pedals such as the soul food in the EHX line have their own power supply because it is set for 9.6 V. Part of the reason why Big Muff is a go to pedal because they need little maintenance. When in doubt, call tech support if you need reassurance. I am just telling you what I know from owning a couple myself (Russain Muff, and the Double Muff).
