DaveNilayaParticipant
Hi again
I’m building a pedalboard for my effects, could you please tell me if the fx chain I displayed in the attached pictuer is a good one?
I added to what you recommended an harmonizer and a looper.
You may say it’s an obvious question, but better safe than sorryThank you in advance for your help.
DaveNilayaParticipantTHE Bill Ruppert????
Whoa! It’s an honor Sir!…I love your music and videos!Thank you again and have a great weekend too!
DaveNilayaParticipantYeah!
Got your answer on youtube…didn’t know you were the same guy/girl!Forgive my newbiness, but…in which way the stereo outputs might improve the sound of my performance?…normally I just use mono and it sounds just fine.
DaveNilayaParticipantOh thanks!
That helped!Take care
DaveNilayaParticipantI get this: “no plug the Mel9 effect out into the Epitome L/Mono input.”
I’m not sure if I get that: “The effect out on the Mel9 a the mix dry and effect when just using that output.”
Please can you be more detailed?
I use a mackie12fx mixer, could you tell me step by step where to plug what?
Thank you for taking the time
DaveNilayaParticipantYes, I understand, but…the mel9 has 2 outs, the epitome has the stereo in/outs, do I just plug the mel9 in both epitome’s ins and then from the epitome go to 2 different channels of my mixer?
DaveNilayaParticipantHello!
I changed the Mel 9 as you recomended…
And just registered the product, and I can’t remember if I registered my epitome…is there a way to check what products are registered, or I should just do it and if it’s already there, the system will warn me?
Thank you and good day!DaveNilayaParticipantHello Friend,
I did as you suggested, and everything sounds great.
So I guess those “noises” were as you said, background noise picked up by the acoustic guitar. If I had to use the Mel9 with the Epitom3, you also recomend to put the Mel9 before anything right?…BUT if I wanted to use also a synth 9?…what then?
Last question, is it normal for some units to have on them some little scratches when they come out of the factory?…Just noticed a couple of these things and one of the corners some paint is missing…
Not that I care…Just wanna be sure I didn’t get a used unit…you never know.Again thank you
DaveNilayaParticipantOk, thanks for the tips, normally I perform with the acoustic on lives, actually the response is superb, and if you say the noise it’s just the pick-up gathering sounds, then I’m good.
I’ll just check the stomp switch…Thanks again for your help!
Live long and prosper.
DaveNilayaParticipantThank you for your reply, I’ll check another Mel9 at the local store and see if it’s the same.
About the noise…
I tried it with a Taylor, acoustic guitar, with the volum all the way down I didn’t notice anything…
And no, I’m not daisy chaining the power…
I’ll make other tests with other guitars.Since we’re talking, I would like to ask another question…
Normally during my gigs I use an Harmony Singer, which is supposed to be FIRST in the effect chain…The Mel 9 is ALSO supposed to be first…
Do you think Putting The Mel9 after the Harmony Singer will affect significantly the performance of the device?Thank you for your time.
