How is the expression pedal working with conjuction with the classic envelope filter use? how are the modes switched?
and does anyone have any clips of it using the expression pedal? how does it sonds?
I am wah-less at the time and soon i’ll be looking for an envelope filter and the Riddle seems to be an awesome choice. I could solve those two problems at the same time
Seems to affect the frequency range of the filter sweep. Can go from the quacky sound they have on their demos to a more funky wah like sound. I wish the pot had a control knob on the outside to give the pedal more control. But yeah, open up the bottom and experiment with it. I just wouldn’t recommend turning it fully counter-clockwise while the pedal is on. When I did it, the pedal gave out this high pitched squeal and my amp was turned up quite loud.
Hey, thanks… maybe it deserves a second try… but since I have alot of space on pedalboard, I’ll probably save up for a Riddle
Tweaked the internal pot inside the Dr. Q today. I like the sound even better now. My preferred spot is about 1/4 of the pots range. Still gotta play with the memory toy. Apparently there’s a pot inside that one which alters the modulation part.
heh, yeah, RE20 is digital but it doesn’t sound like one i was thinking… like… pedal that sounds really like a digital delay (like mentioned stereo memory man with hazarai)
i was wondering what is that “nitrogen” pedal, thanks for an explanation
The expression pedal of the hog will be placed on the left, so there will be a place for a Small Stone US
any suggests for an other EHX stuff? I’ll try to find sompe space on my pedaltrain…
wow, i could rock that thing for hours awesome selection of pedals
what about some muff you already have got two delays and none of them is digital so i won’t be wasting time recommending you to get a SMMH delay… and i can’t figure out anything else since you have the HOG
Personally for me I fell in love with the sound after first hearing Pink floyd
“speak to me/breathe” from Dark side of the moon when I was a wee lad.
…which is a univibe not a phaser (although strictly it is a kind of phaser).
I love phasers and have a bunch of them — Bad Stone, Small Stone, Phase 90, Maestro PS-1 & 1A, Mutron Phasor II, jen Motorphaser… — as well as a modern vibe clone (Hey, EHX should really do a nice vibe — pair it with a Muff in the same unit and I’d buy one).
I use them for adding subtle movement with the rate down low, or up high to kinda emulate a leslie speaker (the Jen and Maestro phasers ramp up and down when you change speeds like a leslie).
Can’t stand chorus or flange, but I love phasers.
nice collection of phasers you’ve got i’ve got only the PH-2 and well – it drives me crazy one day and the other day i just love it
about the PF phasing/vibe: well i have a very nice Czech boutique vibe/phaser stompbox on my wishlist, hope it gets to me one day… I heard a demo where its creator does this “Any color you like” solo and rhytm guitar and i tell you – it’s pretty awesome in dollars it would be like… 200 dollars, in czech republic the price is comparable with f.example Q-Tron+
also don’t like the chorus/flange (only a mild chorusing is nice) – what about our own topic about that?
a little love here I use looper on SMMH, mainly for composing and improvisations… can’t imagine using it live… anyway – ability of deleting your last layer is sweet… it happens very often that I record very nice 3 layers and 4. just screws everything up
I know about at least 2 friends that would buy it instantly
As to the Macrosynth, I did mention a HOG sized box…
oh, sorry, my bad!
about the DBM – i get it, yeah… but you know – when it comes to distortion, i’m more of a guy that likes combinations of pedals and work wih the volume pot. I think, that combinations are far more creative and you can find some interesting sounds with it i’m not a fan of those “super-duper pumped-up stompboxes for your whole life”. when it has a good sound, it’s good… and when you can figure out how to use your pedals together to get a pile of good sounds – well, that’s some good working with your pedalboard
about the fully analog signal path – yeah, i know, no problem
not a bad idea, i’m sure it would fit alot of people… just not my deal
and i totally don’t mind bending down and re-setting my pedals
