LucasKinch – nice and clean! and i love how your bassplayer is almost facepalming… this is so forum-like…

anyway, adumo, i’d totally buy phaser over flanger any day :) but whatever suits you, bro

Yeah, i’m even thinking about getting another one :D i use it for more classic phasing (not very subtle tho) and for kind of a vibe tone (that’s how it’s set on the photo) and i don’t really like resetting it again and again, in the live situation it’d be a pain in the ass

yeah, the white finger is awesome, one of my best purchases ever :) BUT i don’t use it for rhytm distorted guitar, because it steals some of the agression of the sound… sustaining leads, nice fattened up clean tones… yeah, that’s something else! :)

thanks guys :) the idea to own both is actually pretty nice :D and since the NYC reissue is quite cheap – why not :) we’ll see

about the TS circuit… i don’t lov it so much but it’s part of my double distortion pedal, visual sound jekkyl and hyde.. the older version. And i love the distortion part :D and buying anothe OD seems kinda crazy to me :D to have mig muff (or two, yay), TS overdrive and more of a classic distortion and another OD seems like an overkill to me (i’m not one of those guys who prefer to have 6 dirt pedals)

well i was hoping that you’ll answer my question :) thanks

i’m not completely sure it’s a big muff, but i heard that he used it on that solo…

about that boosting… i have tubescreamer-ish type of OD before my muff… when i kick it on, the muff looses some of it’s low end and acts more like a genuine high-gain pedal… also amazing tone, but not so amazing as john’s (obviously… duh…)

if i had some extra money, i’d probably experiment with ODs much more… but i’m a student having a hard time finding any part-time job and currently i need to pay for drivers education… but i’ll keep your advise in mind! thanks, man :)

PS: i was just wondering if it isn’t the NYC – Sovtek difference…

i’d go with blend and octave up… if EHX would do that for reasonable price, i’d buy it ASAP

we need octave up octaver WITHOUT fuzz… with good tracking… and there’s none -.-

ok, so here is the story…

simply – i have the latest russian BMP and in al it’s goodness, i miss one thing..

i think it’s the tonality of Sovtek muff… but accoring to me it lacks this searing head-blowing, smashing craziness that the NYC version could have… i’m talking about something like john Frusciante’s lead tone in “Strip my mind” from Stadium.

it could be me… or the pedal :D i have it set like sustain and volume on 1 o’clock, tone on 3 o’clock.

What do you think… could NYC version get me closer to that sound? i think i could trade easily… only thing i’m affraid of is that the NYC could be much more noisy… and i’m a little bit afraid of missing this crazy low end response that Svotek has… damn it’s hard! :D

Well The Edge does it, doesn’t he? :) also John Petrucci was talking about it… whatever, just saying what i heard :) i must say – i don’t have any experience with other than real double tracking :D

oh, ok, i was just wondering :) because when people try to recreate doubling effect live by micing amps in a certain distance from each other, they usually use really shorter tims… whatever :) i believe you
