what do you mean by unusual? :) something like some xtreme modulation from Memory boy/Deluxe Memory Boy?

    ring modulation from Frequency analyzer?

anyway… i bet that the good ol’ Deluxe Electric Mistress would sound pretty awesome :) or Small stone for some mellow phasing… there’s too much options, what music do you like? what sound do you look for?

currently i’m working on getting a NYC version to compare :) i think that sovtek might be too bassy for me – with single coils it was ok, but when i got the SC-sized-humbucker, everything changed… i’m even getting rid of my White finger because it doesn’t work with my guitar anymore! :D

anyway – don’t worry… the Finger is being traded for one possibly awesome thing… i’ll totally post about it when i have it

man are you like… 5? because i think that the only word you spelled right since you joined was “TOOL”… i guess it’s pretty esy, eh? :D

    naaaah, it’s cool…

anyway – does anyone know Buckethead? :) I used to love him to death, but I suddenly stopped and now I really enjoy only Colma and Electric Tears. Well at least of his “solo” work, some of his other music is still amazing :)

but the guitar work he lays down on Colma and Electric tears is really special for me… and i have to say those albums really inspired me and somehow changed me guitar-wise

As cool as it is – i’m selling

because i got a new pickup installed, DiMarzio Chopper T replaced DM Area T… i usually used WF for making this crazy attack on Area T less harsh and ear-piercing or to fatten up the middle position… but the Chopper has very pleasant attack even if struck hard and the middle position is really fat enough and colourful enough on it’s own

warning: bad comment ahead – i think that with this pickup, White Finger is making my guitar sound worse than it actually sounds.however it’s a cool box and sometimes it can really compliment the overall sound of an instrument

I like amps where i don’t have to drastically make miracles with the EQ… my Tele is very bright and when it comes to EQ on my VC30, the EQ is almost straight :D

    bass 12 o’clock, middle 1, treble 12

if the amp is bright as some of the fenders are, i rather turn the treble down a bit if i like the overall response of the amp.

however it depends on the guitar, too… I played 4 Fender tele’s into the same fender blues deluxe without any change of the straight EQ and some of them were like… plug and play :) there was no need to change anything. Some of them weren’t so cool, tho

well, bill, i bet you’re having a great time with those EHX pedals :) it’s really awesome how you show us how different can guitar sound – and that’s exactly the reason why i like effect pedals :)

    my favourite:

Squash OFF (it has too slow attack for me i guess)/LED

Post Gain at noon, pre gain at 10
Sensitivity at like 2 o’clock and Compression at 9 o’clock

    sounds pretty natural to me

Well… the show was just amazing!

I think that it was even better than The Wall show. The playlist was astonishing – Welcome To The Machine, Careful With That Axe, Eugeene, Comfortably Numb, Take it Back, High Hopes… i’m a little dissapointed, because they played Sheeps, Pigs, but not Dogs… but whatever

the lights were awesome… i have so many photos of the light show that i feel like a light-nerd

and i have to say… during the Great Gig In The Sky, I cried. The moment when this vocal solo starts always gets me and this time… it was spectacular – the original three-women solo was sung by just one vocalist! i couldn’t believe it

anyone who can see them should… it was a life-changing experience (probably not… but the vibe made me feel different)
