    jesus.

theres a spacedrum on there for $400BIN.

i was tempted to pick up a second, but well, i blew the pedal budget 5 times over picking up one of my holy grails, so i gotta lay off for a while.

i just got one of these in the mail, the old black ink on silver late 60s style. i dont have much info, but if anyone needs some inner photos or whatnot, lemme know.

which it had the original knobs though, these ones all point in random directions.

im allllllllmost there. alllllllllmost. i only have one of the drum machines (which are RAD), and one mini synth. but i have an old school space drum and two old EH sampler pedals. my plan is pretty much the same as this, build a huge board i can run connected to my roland kit for just pure 2-person sonic insanity.

still, its sort of rad to see an entire collection on ebay at once, even if its nothing all that crazy.

yeah, it’s cool to see them like that but I’d rather they were being sold individually so ‘ordinary musician folk’ (poor!!) could have a chance of getting some of the peices they wanted. I suspect some collector with more money than sense will buy them and not even use them….

i wouldnt be surprised if he breaks it up, or 2 months down the line takes $1250 for the whole lot from someone who will break it up and sell it indivually. its just hard to sell things as a whole lot, no matter what youre selling. but there are some gems in there. old school mistress is a beaut.

and theres certainly alot of “utility” pedals in there. the switchblade, silencer, the minimixer, the 5junction thing, the mufffuzz to a certain degree. i think most people who use things like this are using less noisey modern ones.

i saw that the first time it was listed. i was like “wow!” and then i realized i already had most of the good stuff anyways, and most of them looked pretty beat up. then i did some quick math and didnt come up anywhere near $2500. i mean, short of the soul preacher, that whole middle row is 40 – 50 each any day of the week. still, its sort of rad to see an entire collection on ebay at once, even if its nothing all that crazy.

if you post the line art of the older pedals (ala whats on the wood boxes) so it can be put on shirts, it will literally become my entire wardrobe. as much as i like the classic logos, the lineart is what id be after.

to me, those behringer pedals always just felt like “Fisher Prices My First FX Pedal”.

plus, what does “authentic vintage-style” mean anyways.. its not authentic, its a knockoff, and its not vintage, it was made 6 months ago.

Behringer(a decent company but usually known for sub par products) has several pedals out now that are “clones” of EH pedals. I have purchased a couple just to compare and thought I would share some feedback. I was looking at getting a Small Stone then I saw the Behringer Vintage Phaser and purchased it instead ($24). I personally think it sounds amazing, thick and swooshy. It also has true bypass. I also got the Behringer Vintage Tube Monster (vs. my Hot Tubes). It is awesome as well with a wide variety of tones (has a 3 band eq, built in noise gate, and true bypass). I also did the Bitmo Mod to the VT999 and its pretty awesome, I will actually be selling my hot tubes now because it is just way to over the top for me. The last thing I purchased was the Behringer Vintage Time Machine (a copy of the Deluxe Memory Man). I have never used a Memory Man but for $60 this thing is awesome and I suggest you check it out. The drawback of the pedals…thin metal housings and super cheap switches.

    traitor!

Personally, I’d like to have a SPAM thread, but I see a few reasons why not to allow it:

    1. We don’t want people to get scammed here
    2. We don’t want people to argue over deals here
    3. While resale doesn’t necessarily hurt EH, I think if we allowed resale on the forums some EH retailers may have a gripe with it.
    4. There are plenty of other places for that on the internet to buy and sell stuff
    5. The forums is young- this one ties into the first two. Generally on other forums you’re selling to people who have been posting for years and you can trust.

as much as i would love another place for me to hunt down old rare EH pedals, i completely agree with all the above points. especially #3, it seems like a conflict of interest for EHX, because this is the official site forums. anyways, for-sale gear forums result in three unavoidable things: people getting ripped off, dealers posting constantly, and people over the top freaking out publicly over said purchases going wrong. there is absolutely no way to avoid it.

this is the board i use for my baritone. but even this changes constantly. im finicky and i like swapping things out and keeping things interesting, as this also represents like 1/13th of my entire pedal collection. i havent found an overdrive/distortion pedal that i think works proper with the baritone (its a sonic range thing), but the rats been ok for now.
